(6 months passed Ragini had been living her life being away from her family, earning a decent living by singing bhajans in temples).

All these months she has been waiting for her punishment that she was sure would be given to her for her deeds. Her journey brought her away from Kolkata to Delhi.

One day while crossing a road she got hit by a car. The driver came out and the crowd gathered blaming the driver for his irresponsible way of driving. As one man was about to hit the driver for his carelessness, a thorough gentleman stepped out of the car.

'WAIT' he said'

'Instead of blaming my driver can u all please help me get the injured girl into my car so that I can take her to the hospital'

The people helped the man get Ragini into the car, Ragini who had fainted was unaware of what was going on. She had broken all ties with the world devoting her life to her Kishanji, but little did she know about the beginning of a new chapter in her life and the punishment she was waiting for so long. No body, no body in this world could change his/her destiny. As it is said Hota Wahi Hai Jo Bhagya Mein Likha Ho.

They reached the hospital.

'Doctor, please look at this case, its urgent, she has been hit by my car. I hope nothing is serious.'

'Don't worry Mr. Abhimanyu, I'll attend her' the doctor said.

'Oh great!'

The doctor took Ragini for treatment.

Abhimanyu's phone rang

'Grandma' Abhimanyu exclaimed. He picked up the phone Hello! Yes Grandma, I am on my way'

'Lier' Grandma replied from the other end.

'No Grandma, I promise, I'll reach there on time...trust me'

'I know this is ur another effort to cancel the meeting Abhi'

'Na, you are taking me wrong! This time I am not making any excuse Grandma'

'Okay Abhi, whatever...but I'll get you married by the end of this year, irrespective of the fact that now u meet the girl or not'

'Oh! Grandma, don't be angry...actually I had a small accident'

'What?? Accident?? Are u alright...which hospital?'

'City hospital' Abhimanyu replied

'I am coming there Abhi, my child'

'No , there is no need...hello...hello...Grandma...(putting doen the phone) oh she has cut the phone, I hope she does not panic much'

'Doctor, How is this girl now? I hope there is nothing to worry?'

'No Mr. Abhimanyu, she is alright...no need to worry, I have done the dressing and she'll be conscious in an hour'

'GREAT!' Abhimanyu replies with a sigh of relief.

'Abhi...Abhi' Grandma entered the corridor where Abhi was standing How are u? Everything's fine na?'

'Yes Grandma..everything's fine and that girl too'

'Where is that girl Abhi?'

'There in that room' Abhimanyu replied pointing towards the room.

Grandma looked at Ragini from the transparent Door side.' Aww! She is a beautiful girl, such an innocent face, have u informed her family?'

'No, have no idea about them but doctors have said she'll gain conscious in an hour, till then we'll have to wait'

After an hour, when Ragini gained conscious Grandma and Abhimanyu entered the room. They enquired about her health and her family members, to which Ragini replied 'I am an orphan because of my Karma'

Seeing the pain in Ragini's eyes while speaking those words Grandma asked Ragini to stay with them till she recovers.

As 1 week passes and Ragini gets well, Grandma who gets attached to Ragini asks her not to leave.

Grandma persuades Abhimanyu about Ragini's stay at their house.

Ragini a bit hesitant at first agrees thinking of it as her destiny.

6 months pass and Ragini becomes an integral part of Abhimanyu and Grandma's life.

'Today is the big day Grandma, I hope I get this contract' Abhimanyu exclaims while getting ready for the meeting.

'Abhimanyu my blessings are with u, beta'

'Abhimanyu this is dahi-shakar for good luck, do have it before leaving' Ragini keeps it on the table while saying it.

In the evening as Abhimayu returns with the good news he straight away goes to his Grandma.

'Grandma, I have done it...I am so happy today.'

'Congratulations beta'

'Grandma, this is for u'

'A diamond ring but what will I do of it? C'mon'

'Please Grandma its my way of celebrating my happiness'

'Okay but what are you hiding' Grandma asks Abhimanyu suspiciously

'Nothing...ammm! Ita a diamond ring for Ragini' Abhimanyu tells Grandma while blushing

'Oh! Great! So today u gonna tell her ur feelings'

'Yes Grandma'

Grandma in tears 'I am so happy that before I leave this world I will see you with the best girl, thank u for this gift, the most wonderful gift of my life'

(Grandma has been diagnosed with Cancer-last stage 4 months ago)

'I love you Grandma' Abhimanyu hugs grandma saying so.

Ragini who listened to their conversation, went running outside the house. She stood there outside the house in a garden and went through the old memories. How that one night made her take the decision of going away from her family.

Just then Abhimanyu reached there in order to confess his feelings.

'Ragini...Ragini...here u are!' Abhimanyu came there with all smiles.

'Abhimanyu!' Ragini said wiping her tears.

Ragini turned to him and smiled.

'So here is something for you' Abhimanyu sat down on his knees and proposed Ragini

'Ragini I don't know how and when but I love you, you are the one who has made me what I am, these 6 months have been the best months of my life and I want whole of my life to be like this...Accept me as a part of ur life'

Ragini all tensed 'No! No!...this is wrong, this is not right! I don't deserve love, please go away...I can't be loved, I should not be.'

'What? What are u saying Ragini? Are u all right? What happened?' Abhimanyu said , he stood up confronting Ragini.

Ragini in order to avoid this tried to leave

Abhimanyu stopped her.

'Please Abhimanyu don't make me remember my deeds, I am a criminal' Ragini said

'Okay then, I never enquired about your past but now I want to know...What is it which is eating you from within, not making you enter a happy space in ur life? I wanna know, I won't let u go unless u tell me! I can't see u like this...I can't see u in pain...Ragini!'

Ragini sat down while crying u wanna know the truth...'okay then listen'

Ragini narrated her past life to Abhimanyu...her engagement with Lakshya, Swara being her half-sister, her family getting disowned by the Marwari community, Lakshya loving Swara, her separating SwarYa with the help of Sanskar and all her bad deeds. The deadliest being her faking memory loss and destroying the three lives who made her speak out the truth out of her will.

'I was so wrong, I should've accepted my defeat and led a normal life, but instead decided to take revenge, that night was my last encounter with them'

'Ragini!' Abhimanyu exclaimed in shock.

'I know, I don't deserve anything good, and now you can tell me your final decision...Do you still feel the same for me as you felt before knowing my past?'

'Ragini, I love you, I will always! No matter what! I know you as a person we've been together for past so many months, you are not a bad person, circumstances made you do all wrong and if you are repenting, the best way to get out of the guilt is to confront them, I think you should meet them and confess all this once and for all, let them take the decision then.'

'But they will not forgive me...how will I face them.'

'They will!! Trust me... and don't worry... I am with you always...I won't force you, the final decision will be yours.

'But may I know what happened that night, why you took the decision of going away from their lives.'

'Abhimanyu I just wanted Lakshya to realise how it feels when your love loves the person who is dearest to you, but things turned ugly...and Lakshya -Sanskar started to fight, there was this mistake that Lakshya would never forgive himself for and nor will the family. He pushed Sanskar, Sanskar lost his balance, as they were fighting on the terrace Sanskar's falling down had worst consequences. That incident made Sanskar lost his mental balance and turned him into a child. I could not forgive myself, I never wanted to do such a thing to anyone of them, Yes I wanted revenge but not like this...this was extreme and I didn't want this to happen' Ragini broke down saying so!'

'Ragini... Abhi... where are you both, c'mon come in...its dinner time' Grandma called both of them.

They had their dinner.

'So Ragini what's you decision regarding Abhi's proposal?' Grandma asked

'Grandma..!!' Ragini was about to complete, just then Abhimanyu interfered

'Grandma, before that we have one important thing to do, its important for both of us,Tomorrow we are leaving for Kolkata'

Ragini looked at Abhi all shocked.

'Tomorrow, but why Abhi' Grandma asked

'Grandma I'll tell you everything...but you'll be here in Delhi only'

'What is going on?' Grandma looked all confused.

'Ragini, Go pack ur bags' tomorrow morning we'll leave'

'Abhi but...why?...I don't want to go there...PLEASE'

'Ragini we will, I don't want to see u like this, why don't u understand!! Its my final decision'

The next morning, Ragini and Abhimanyu leave for Kolkata.

'All the best Ragini, Abhi has told me everything...beta you aren't a bad person...And Abhi's decision is right, you need to come out of the guilt...Go...Abhi I am proud of u...I'll be waiting for both of you!' Grandma blessed them.

Abhimanyu took Ragini straight away to the MM mansion after reaching Kolkata.

The doors of MM mansion were opened Ragini was a bit hesitant to enter, Abhimanyu holding her hand took her inside.

Ragini looked at the members in the hall, everybody seemed to be happy, nobody had noticed her, She turned around,

'Abhimanyu..lets leave..please'

Just then a voice called RAGINI'

It was Lakshya...he came down running, He hugged Ragini...'Where were u? Yesterday Mr. Abhimanyu called up and told us everything...Ragini all was not ur fault, to some extent we were also responsible, and now things have sorted out...Swara is happy with bhai and I have no problems with it, I have understood that a person is lucky if he gets to be with a person who loves him selflessly...and for me its u Ragini...Please come back in my life'

Ragini was surprised and looked at Abhimanyu

'Where is Swara and how is Sanskar?' she asked

'Swara is happy and bhai is improving, both of them have gone to London for treatment, they will be back soon'

Maheshwaris and Gadodias had dinner get-together that night. All of them thanked Abhimanyu for sorting out everything.

At night...Ragini couldn't sleep she went to the Guest room to look for Abhimanyu and saw him standing in the garden outside the Mansion, She rushed to talk to him.

'Abhimanyu...how did you do that?' Ragini asked him

'Truth!! I revealed the whole truth to them...see I told u they will understand u!'

'Abhimanyu...what about Grandma??..she will be waiting for both of us...what will u tell her?'

'Ragini..are u happy?' Abhimanyu asked her

'Why are u asking this...of course I am' Ragini said and while saying this she thought to herself 'Am I?'

'Ragini I love you! I really do! I just want to see u happy. Nothing else'

'Abhimanyu, I don't know what is the feeling...the feeling that I have for u...It can't be love..because love happens once in life and for me its Lakshya...I loved him so much that I even lost myself...!'

Abhimanyu looked at Ragini and smiled 'So u think love can't happen again'

'I want to be loyal in my love, but I don't know why...why I m not able to feel the happiness' Ragini looked at Abhimanyu and said it in a confusing tone

'Ragini tomorrow u'll start ur new life...new life as Ragini Lashya Maheshwari

'Can I ask u for one thing...can I hug u please...as today u are my Ragini...tomorrow u won't be'

Ragini looked at Abhimany and hugged him 'You are special to me..very special'

'But not as special as Lakshya' Abhimanyu left while saying so

The next morning Ragini woke up to the news that Abhimanyu has left the Maheshwari Mansion.

She was all shocked...She went running to her room and called up Abhimanyu but couldn't reach him.

'Ragini' Lakshya called her Today we have to start our life afresh and before that we have to go to the Kul Devi temple'

'No Lakshya...How can Abhi leave..how can he...I can't...I can't imagine my life without him...he is my life..my life' Ragini said this in one flow shocking the Maheshwaris.

'I never realized this..oh how stupid I am...I love him...Yes..I love him..I have to tell him this...I love him...I need to tell him..'

As Ragini was leaving...She turned back...'I am sorry...But he is someone who loves me..who cares for me..and what did I do.. insulted him...Lakshya...I am sorry! But please can I go...please..please...I have never had this feeling before...this is the true feeling of love...please lt me go!'

'You can Go!' Lakshya said to Ragini...'I am well aware of this feeling..go and try once to be with ur love...rest all is detiny'

Ragini went running to the airport, enquired about Abhimanyu but the response she got confused her. 'I am sorry Madam, We can't let u know Mr. Abhimanyu has asked us not to.'

She dialed the Delhi number, but got no response.

Days passed and her search for Abhimanyu did not get over.

She left everything...all shattered..tried reaching Abhimanyu but all her efforts went in vain.

Today...Ragini has left everything, she has become a mere statue, no feelings, nothing...all she do is sit at the side of the Kul Devi Temple and keep on saying Abhimanyu..Abhimayu' People often address her as a mad woman, she doesn't even recognize any of her family members..all she knows is Abhimanyu...Her family members do visit her..and her Dadi, ma and sisiter often cry seeing her like this...May be this is the punishment she had been asking for...a punishment which was meant for her.
