Okay guys first shot at writing something for this forum, I usually only write for Ipkknd but I think - Mitus 'His little wife' has inspired me so see what you think only a very short piece, a few chapter max and no pm's i'm afraid but give it a shot and let me know what you think.
Chapter 1
Gayatri had become very important to Rana Indravardan after marriage, they may have not had the best start but Gayatris trust in her husbands good nature and faith in her dreams had prevailed.
He was her everything as was she his, the King left no stone unturned to make sure she was aware of that. From that look in his eyes every time their eyes met in co-incidentally in public or around the raj mehel to the love he made to her on nights such as this. He had fallen in love with her and how could he have not..
She was perfect, soft spoken, sweet, sensible, innocent and not to mention beautiful. She was a breath of fresh air to his life, someone he could reply on, cultured and traditional yet a visionary she was the faultless wife and queen and just watching her lay asleep in his arms was a pleasure.
He was carefully very still, to as to not disturb her sleep for Gayatri was naturally a very shy personality when it came to matters of love an intimacy, if she were to wake up in the slightest she would cocoon into a ball of nerves and he didn't want that. Gayatri was still new to this marriage, very much in love she was yet she new to realms of intimacy he was introducing her to as a husband. He comfort in watching her sleep peacefully in his arms.

Early next morning Rana Indravarden was having an important conversation with his uncle.
Gayatri hesitantly stood at the doors to a royal suite in which both men were having the conversation. Ranaji was flicking through some file whilst Kuwar sa (uncle ) was making some remarks sat a chair in his own very royal manner.
Indravarden soon got the feeling that someone else was seeking his attention and his instinct wasn't wrong his eyes caught on his wife at the doors of the room.
"Hame ijasat dijyey Rana sahib.." (Please grant me permission to leave your highness) she spoke in a very soft respectful tone hardly looking at him at all.
Kuwar sa excused himself as he walked past Gayatri, she had no idea why but she got a very horrible vibe from the man. She hadn't been fond of him from day one.
Gayatri was to leave to the palace to visit her parents, the excitement could be seen in her eyes when she lifted them after a couple of moments of them being left alone.
Rana's footsteps sounded against the marble floor as he paced himself slowly in her direction. He stopped just before her admiring her petite figure in that pink shade with very stubble jewelry and that adorably curly hair of hers no matter what she did with it, it always looked best the way it was to him. That's the way he liked his Gayatri ..the way he had first laid eyes on her.
He noticed the way her heartbeat seemed to change at his proximity and smiled at his wifes innocence as she looked up at him with her big brown eyes they smiled at him yet remained a little reserved even now.
"Hamne kayi baar samjayey hai aap ko gayatri ke aap hame hamare
naam se bula sakti hai. (I've told you many a time Gayatri that you can use my name) She gave him an unconvinced look he was the King of Amerkot and he had already demolished the Gungat (veil) tradition Rani ma would start hating her if he put this into action too. Atcha logon ke samne nahin sahin lekin jab baat bas haamri aur aapki ho." (at least when its just the two of us.)
He got no response which meant she didn't agree and she was stubborn like that. Nor was she vocal about her stance but nor was she going to agree. She kept quiet and smiled it off.
Giving up with a sigh his words rather comforting for her.
"Jaayey , jaldi laut ayeyga maharani, aap jaanti hai aap ke bina hamara man nahin lagta" (don't be too long will you, you know I can't remain without you for long.)
He smiled reaching over her a little more
to place a kiss on her forehead and in return she completed the custom of
touching his feet before taking her leave.

Gayatri had only been gone for a few hours but he was already disturbed by her absence. It was her he was thinking of when he thought of all the times she reminded him to take some time off for himself during the day. Spending the day worrying about his people was a common thing for a king to do but ever since he had married Gayatri she had bought a sense of tranquility into his life that he enjoyed now.
As he entered his room Rana addressed a maid "Suno ..hamare liyey chai le kai ayey." (Bring a cup of tea to my room would you)
The maid replied from under a partially cover face.
Ji hukum ("Yes master")
Indravarden was sat against a recliner behind a book when the maid walked into the room with his his permission. intuitive by nature it didn't take long for Rana to notice that the maid seemed scared. Her hands trembled carrying the porcelain cup and saucer. His eyes pointed out a table by the side she could leave the cup on but he went on noticing her fear and as she put down the cup on the side he noticed something more. The lady seemed to have bruises on her forearms. Just as maid turned to leave ..
"Haaton mein yey zakam kaise lage?" (How did you get those bruises on your arm? )
The maid explained that she had got the bruises from working in the royal kitchen but Rana ji wasn't easily fooled.
He asked for the girl to visit a medic.

Gayatri loved her husband not only for the freedom he gave her but his people too the King of Amerkot was different to others and so when Gayatri's car broke down on the way back from her fathers home she was surprised by what she saw. Gayatri paid her respects to a funeral possession of a young man but was shocked to find the cause of the death as starvation. Why when Ranaji was such a generous ruler?

Gayatri had to return to the Raj Mahel that evening for once a week Gayatri would cook for royal family it was something she had requested from Ranaji and he had granted her. Not only did it make Gayatri happy it also became an occasion for the palace. Today all the preparations had been done in advance yet it seemed as if there was a mishap.
As per custom all stood at their respective seats until Ranaji took a seat at the head of the table. Gayatri served Rana first after which maids and servants served the rest of the family members only kuar chacha sa was missing a plate.
Hamri thaali kaha hai .. (Where's my plate?!!!! ) he shouted to one of the servants yet the response was rather shocking for all at the table.
The man hesitantly answered.
"Ji Rani sa ka hukum hai ke aap ko khana nahin parosa jayeyga." ("According to the queens instructions we are not to serve you food. ")
Ranaji who was sat at the head of the table gave the matter instant attention hearing his uncles tormented voice, wondering if what he had heard was actually what was being said when it seemed to be his eyes seemed to turn a very dark shade silent he may have been but his eyes asked for answers from Gayatri who dropped her eyes as soon as she felt his glare.

His tone of voice was not to be taken lightly "Gayatri chacha sa ko khana parousyey.." ---("Gayatri serve uncle")
His eyes remained on her still, intent and serious as he instructed her to do the job herself but he was loosing his patience and the tipping point was her refusal.
"Nahin.." (No)
