Ii had a showdown with them in the second floor lounge... Sam and Tan hung out with Ranjan and R&B Manya was back too, II went up to bring some books she had to return to Amma
, but while getting out of the lounge "U can come to D II tomorrow" he ordered
"What silliness is this?" Amma hissed
"Avan kelambi povan, ival inge ondiya okkandu irukanuma" (he will leave and she must stay in this huge house by herself) Appa accused
Amma sat on the lounge chair "Let them figure it out... we should not interfere too much"
II stood quietly like she had returned from a friend's house from a sleepover without informing her parents
"Hes leaving whatever they had to figure out they shud have before 9 PM on Sunday" Appa said
"Ayyo she married him he married her too... why will he abandon her? Amma asked patiently
"Its not a business trip Madhavi, he is leaving" Appa expressed despair
"They are all so nice to her... how can I suspect they all planned this?" Amma asked reasonably

"Why will he do that? Its not the movies" Amma argued

Appa looked at her stunned
Amma squirmed at her daughter's lack of opinion in the matter
"Are u so desperate kanna?" Appa demanded

"Madhavi WHAT is she saying?" Appa was dumbfounded his daughter would speak in such a weak defenseless manner
"I cant live without him pa" II pleaded

"Atleast Shes not lying no?" Amma squirmed
"Amma and I are there for u" Appa said firmly wiping his eyes taking his glasses off

"She is HIS WIFE now" Amma reminded
Appa grunted
"She is asleep at 8 on a Sunday evening... can Vandita do that?" Amma asked
"Bala is in Munirka market buying vegetables or fixing a broken water pipe in the bathroom" Appa reminded Amma how caring and responsible his favorite son in law was
"they adore her... her clothes her jewelry... the way she has freedom in this house. Have we ever entered such a house driving thru Chanakya Puri?" Amma asked
"Adukosram? they can treat my daughter however?" Appa argued
"Its between the two of them" Amma said firmly
"I never imagined my daughter would be so carried away" Appa looked confused
"they both are like that I feel" Amma said softly
"will u come stay with us for a week?" Appa asked grumpily
"Umm.. no pa... I will come.. when I can" (nothing has changed)
"Ida paar she is still being this way" he pointed to Amma
"THIS is her house" Amma said
"Paris is her house and he is not taking her" Appa said
"she will go when she wants to" "Or he will return" Amma said unconvinced, but said it anyway
"We will leave now kanna"
"U must eat Pa" she said
"No no... we are not hungry" Appa said sadly
The whole family walked out to wave good bye to them, except Manya and Vik, they were seated for dinner
"Call us when u can" Amma requested
"I will Mrs Iyer" he smiled
"I will tell u about the new school year, and how my book is coming along" Amma smiled
"sounds exciting" R&B said warmly
"She cannot stay here indefinitely" Appa warned shaking a finger
R&B nodded
"she wont come to D II" Appa accused
"Umm" R&B attempted to speak
"My daughter is very innocent" Appa declared
"I understand" R&B said
"Uncle PLEASE give them a chance to figure this out" Sam begged
"Take care of my daughter Samyukta" Appa choked up
"Arey Uncle, she and Dad can move in with us" Tan promised
"she can come back to D II" Appa said smugly ("she is mine, u had your chance u ruffian/playboy/ smooth talker" look in his eyes as he glared at R&B)
R&B didnt respond
"Samyukta please visit" Amma requested
"ZAROOR AUNTY. I will be there every day after Vandita delivers" Sam smiled
they left...
The family ate, R&B sat by his wife... ate sparingly
She ate quietly, and finished up first and held Lasya...
when he was done he went to the lounge to have a night cap
She went up, handing the baby to Sam
she stood in the balcony crying
"Hey" he said moments later
She turned away
He walked up, to her front, she tried to turn...

"Thats no longer my name for u... u can call me Ms Iyer" she ordered
He gathered her in his arms...

"Vendaam... no platitudes" she ordered huskily
He nodded...
"U can laugh at me after u check in" she provoked
"Did I just say I was going to do that" he spat back, she was successful in provoking him

"shhh" he said nuzzling softly
"Dont worry another 45 minuts phir tumhe meri baat nahi sun ni padegi" she said
He kissed her, tasting her lower lip, upper and back on her lower lip, he lingered waiting for her lips to part
"Take ur time" he teased
She punched him.. dodging, he found her face again...
and kissed her all over again... she groaned weakly, stroking his lower lip with her tongue

She darted her tongue out... and found his
He pinned her on the glass balcony French doors and kissed hungrily
He smelled like after shave... clean and smooth... buttery
He kissed her neck, ear, chin and cheek
they held each other like they were each other's power supply, charging their batteries
"Do u know these security codes? I will text em" he promised
"I am going to Sam's" she said, letting him feel her up
He nodded
"i am going to D II" she said
"A good fight wasted" he groaned

The boys literally hung from R&B's neck taking turns
10:30 ish... Tan urged him to go in
She leaned on the car in the loading unloading zone... and texted Akka
He walked up to her
"I have a question" he said
She looked up... the family stood at a distance pretending not to eavesdrop or watch
"what?" she asked grumpy
"Go with me" he said
"Not funny... Rakshasan" she hissed, hugging him
"U can tell Bally in the morning" he offered
"Riight" she nodded weakly
"will u call me?" he asked
"Probably not" she sulked

They walked back to the family...he hugged and wished Bala
"Thanks for giving us 8 months of ur precious time" Sam mocked him mercilessly tearing up
He nodded hugging her

"I should have another baby tabhi aaogey na waapis?" Sam asked
"baby banaane waali uske khud ke paas hai... he has his own easy bake oven now" Tan laughed hysterically trying to cheer everyone up
II was not amused, Tan hugged her to remind her he was speaking about her

He reached for Manya pulling her for a bone crushing hug
