The only drama channel I watch on TV is Zindagi TV and dat too not all the dramas. But I have caught glimpses of some Indian soaps, or promos of some Indian shows and it got me wondering that even kid contents in Pak dramas and Indian soaps is totally different.
In the currently airing show Khel Kismat ka revolves around 5 kids and teh kids are shown so realistically. Al normal kids of their age group having normal issues of studies, not understanding adults and even when tragedy strikes them their reactions are in tandem with the situation. Nothing OTT. Similarly in d show Ranjish they showed 3 kids and 1 is a stepkid and so they show her insecurity and as they hv shown her a spoilt brat, they show her behavior brattish and coz she's not able to deal with now having to share all dat belonged to her, she reacts aggressively. Still very much a realistic portrayal and her step siblings reacting in a very natural way.

Also in whichever drama there has been kids shown, the kids are beautifully woven into the story and all their actions, reactions and emotions are very much consistent with their age.

Now coming to Indian soaps, I saw dis promo of Ganga, where dey show dis small girl, but her behavior is just beyond comprehension. Yes I suppose she's a child widow, but her acts and actions r so unrelatable to a child. They sure are over mature. Even in d serial Udaan which I end up watching the ending of sometimes when I am waiting for KKK to air, the kid Chakor is forever taking on the big bad ppl., saving the entire village, giving advice and solving problems way beyond any child's capability and what not.

And though dis was not enough u hv historical figures as kids fighting the entire army and having 6 abs too.😲😆

yes kids behavior and how they react to the situations is totally different in indian and Pakistani shows, and definitely more relatable in pakistani shows.i watch khel kimat ka on and off and all the child actors are superb, their characters are more relatable and realistic.on the other side children in our shows behave like super kids.

Only show in India which USED have kids realistic behavior was in Balika Vadhu. That is in the first 2-3 months. After that it was complete bs. I have seen only Hareem from HS...and she is fine...looked a little old for a 4 year old.

Agree wid you Di. The way kids are shown in our Dramas to be More than our age. OTT and talk too much! My mother too gets irritated by this Chakor and say.."Bitte bhar ki hai aur baatein toh aisi karti hai jaise poori duniya ko badal degi.." 🤣 Even the kid in Ashoka is too much OTT and gets on my nerves. Khel Qismat Ka is a good drama and the kids are shown to be normal for their age. Not OTT and talking as if they wud conquer the whole world. Hareem of HS though seemed a bit grown up for a 4 year and I dont like the tone in which she speaks though.. Speaking thru nose. 😆😆

Oh she was shown 4 years? yeah she looked older.

I have seen other Pak dramas with kids in them and dey all look very natural.

BTW having said tht, just forgot, but nowadays my kids r watching Disney Channel and dey have some cute and funny shows revolving around families with normal kids and their trails and travails. Though dey a a bit loud and OTT, but still at least teh kids r normal kids and fun to watch.😆

I in fact feel bad for the poor kids...ek toh dey r doing grown up work, I mean working in daily soaps is so demanding for grown ups, wonder how these kids manage? And den on top of it their characters r just sooo unnatural nd the worse part is dat dey get interviewed by the news channels and dey keep remaining in the character. At least when not acting let them remain normal kids.

Most horrible situation I think is Avika Gor's. By the time she was 16 she was romancing a 30 year old Manish as an adult. The channel even promotes them as a couple. 🤢
Then by the time she was 18 she started working in regional films..and now balancing films and TV. Dunno how she manages and how her parents allow her. Anything for money.

How gross!

But seriously der should be some rule abt kids doing drama to play their age and also to have roles appropriate for kids and not show romancing or taken on adults and fighting and all dat crap.

BTW Y only actors, same with these reality shows/ talent shows for kids. Baap re the way they talk, seem so unnatural and way beyond their years.

Wonder if dey hv such reality shows in Pak too?

What an observation!
And absolutely agree on Avika Gor's part..what a demotion from Anandi to that clowny show.Infact whenever I see her in that get up..feel like puking..The way she behaves in interviews too as she's already a superstar of the generation.

I don't know, but all these kid actors just seem so unnatural behaving as grown ups and do dey or rather their parents even realize that dey r missing out on their childhood?

Aur waise bhi u hardly see child actors doing well when they grow up and they are already so much exposed/ visible that their novelty has already been worn off. So what's d point of rushing through childhood.
