But you don't! You don't have to do anything because you're a woman, you do it because it's your work, your family's work! Remember, cooking, cleaning, taking care is not your 'job'. Do it out of love, not out of responsibility, cause it's not your responsibility alone.

It still prevails in our society and only minority of the population don't follow such concepts.
We are just 2 daughters to our parents, and by the grace of God our entire family is really supportive of girls and more then discriminating between genders we are more into educating both genders.

You just stand up for yourself and don't let such mindset control you, don't be a feminist, but be yourself and do what is right. There is nothing called equality, differences will always be there. Just like a men can't be women we can't be men, but we can be ourself. So if you want to sleep just hit the bed 😎, tell grandma and family to chill ;)

Very sad
Actually i never really saw in my life gender discrimination
But its very cheap n i hate it
Now we r grown up so everyone have own life
But when i was younger we used to have lot of get togheter with cousins aunts etc
We were boy n gals mixed up
We always had been playing togheter having same things
Doing same things
Sleeping, lol we hated to sleep in da day and our aunts grandma and mother used to force us to have rest and sleep
We couldnt sleep so we were naughty and used to have fun, eventually i had a younger aunt she was all fun and used to play with us
She used to play video games, and do naughty things with us tought she was 10 years older than us in general
No one ever taunted her
She was like our friend
On night we hated to sleep early so once all send to bed in same room
Our aunt used to join us and we would talk and play till midnight
On morning we were used to wak up arround 7 and on tv of our room
Then mothers used to get irritated and say see whdn u ll be my age
I bet u will not wake up before 12 on holidays
That was true coz now i wake up 11 in morning when holidays
My bro wake up way early and help making breakfast
Our parents grandparents always used to do their best to make our life a paradise
Happy paradise
In my family i was 1st born of my generation, so i was the most pampered when i was kid as they werent others kids to take care of
So all pampered me
And in my family grandma and aunts always had a plus for baby girls and loved them a little more
But the reason is bcoz 1st born of every parent was a gal...
Our aunts always wanted peace between us
My generation were like all bunch of great friends whose life was heaven made by elders
I really feel bad for u
Its not fair

The thing is that it is hard to stand up for yourself, otherwise everyone will be like "Oh look at her being disrespectful" and all that BS.
Back in Pakistan is worse as all my male relative are lazy as hell. Sit, eat and sleep, that's the only things they do there. They drop out of school and don't work and then the women are the ones who are cooking and cleaning for them.

I don't know how to do any housework but try to help my mum as much as possible because she already does soo much.

I think this is story of many girls.

I stay away from narrow-minded people. Even if they are my own.
