Vettaiyan and Douglas meet Udhay for a drinking session. He encourages them to meet Monkey Pannayar for loan. Vettaiyan thinks about Meenatchi's scolding about him not being able to buy the gold chain and agrees.

They go to meet Monkey Pannayar who fixes a bet for him to ride the bicycle for five days in exchange for the money.
