i had included a general view... and i do agree some
readers may there who comment in one story and not in another... but it
can be ulta too na?? some may be commenting in ur story and not
commenting on others... i do agree that as a reader select some
stories... but the stories which u read do like and comment them...</font>

Pefectly true but believe me I don't support them also.
If we r reading any story .. we supposed to response.
Be let it mine or anyone else story n if any reader had not much time than they shold read limited stories
Just like writer start 1 or 2 story also

yes i agree with u... i read selected stories... but i try to be active in their threads... its not possible for a person to be active in all threads... hope readers do understand this...

but in addition to readers i feel writers too need to change... till now i have seen only the readers been pointed out ...

ur right lakshu, ek dusre par blame game khelne ke bajaye we should think about the solution for this problem, writers and readers both should change if they want to keep geet forum alive.Till now only our maaneetians are success in making geet forum active and we should not make this forum close with our own faults. At least now i hope there will some change in both readers and writers.

writers and readers both should change if they want to keep geet forum alive... yes this is what i waned to say😃... thanks priya

This thread is really good ... but somewhere I feel this is far away from reality ... I just all comments and found so many commenters (readers) ... are far away from their own words ... far n far away ... and its hurt and at least made me feel like a fool... in November when I took a break that was soul reason of sudden low response that I started to trap in my life ...

ab jo bhi huwa usse bhool kar phirse apne old readers jo tujhe itna pasand karthe hai aur follow karthe hai uske liye u try to be regular, atleast weekly once ek update dene ki socho. dont think about others but just think about those who are giving support to u till now.bas main yehi kehsakthi hoon. dekho after u came back see the response from ur regular readers.

I agree with your sentiments
Though it should not all be about likes and comments, as a writer it is our only gauge to know that
a) people have read something of ours
b) they like it or not
c) should we lose sleep and keep trying
I feel dejected to read comments like awesome, waiting for next. But it happens, what to do?
I have left IF twice and come back here only on Geet forum just because I miss it like heck.
I miss the friends, I miss the stories, I miss Maaneet and though I am not a Gurtian I miss them too.
As a reader, I too have the same issue of not getting enough updates to read or so infrequent that I have forgotten the plot completely. I too have gone onto my fav writer's blogs even though they have left IF because they are just that good and I can't not read them. I too wish they were on GF and it was easy to follow them but I use notifications and so I get an email everytime they post. I have posted waiting posts for writers whose stories I am into and those that have left without even a note. So I understand the frustrations.
It is now becoming clear that there is not much hope left for our forum unless we are the riders of change. People are used to getting a lot without giving anything. Old Habits are hard to break.
If it is to change at all, new habits have to be formed. Whether it be forcing people to comment by putting passwords on updates or by making posts Membersonly, we have to change the way we interact with our audience. Everyone will make a hue and cry about it but they will get used to it. Forcing them to comment on IF only will still keep Geet forum alive.
From my goal oriented dimaag this is the only solution I have found so far.
It is not popular and neither am I. I have been called nasty names and have cried with vicious emails I have rec'd but I love this forum too much to give a damn.
I update at least once a week and try to give a teaser to keep the connection going.
Beyond this if anyone finds a solution, do post it. I would love to do anything that helps us.
Avi

Hii avi

I m agree with ur every single word and before too I had told you that I admire you ... as u r the only writer
Who doesn't bent in front of slient readers nagging ... believe me I try it too but could not able to take nasty comment and name calling so I just stop giving notes too if I shift anything to blog ... as I just pm to those who was commenting on regular basic atleast 6 comment out of 10 part ...

But you got the nervous ... we all only make them like that ... I don't like to be ignore especially when those readers had guts to message me for update or password... and believe me after so much banging head ... I just make 2 blog

One for most most trust able readers who never will mess with my blog and other for general
But still its take so much guts to do that ... hats off to u that how u still give password to those who comment on every part ...
