"We will meet today at Mechanical Lab at 7." Informed Randhir and added to Sanyukta "We can meet a little earlier to discuss." And she just nodded her head. Randhir observed that Sanyukta was eerily quiet the entire day and it kind of didn't settle well with him.
The day passed in a jiffy and soon Sanyukta met with Randhir in their usual spot which was under the banyan tree. "Not bad Frumpy, you've come on time. Alright lets get to work." He said sitting beside her and pulled out the stuff given by Ankit.
They thoroughly went through all the brochures and were in awe with the variety and extent of activities. "No wonder it's a qualifier for DT." Said Randhir as he finished his part and Sanyukta agreed to him. Soon they left to Mechanical Lab to meet up with the rest of the team.
"Guys, this seriously is an amazing opportunity for us. The fest is extravagant. More about that a little later. Let us now tell you the options." Said Randhir
"In sports category - its been classified into outdoor and indoor with 3 games each. In indoor - you have carom, chess and Table tennis while in outdoor you have soccer, hockey and Golf. Give your choices." Said Sanyukta
"Table Tennis" said Parth
"Carom" said Kastuki
"Soccer" said Jiggy
"Vidu?" asked Sanyukta
"I don't play" she said while others nodded.
"Randhir what about you and Sanyukta?" asked Parth
"We'll see. Hockey anyway ruled out. I've heard their standard is too good for us to participate any game. So I want to know how good you guys are in the said sports. Am aware of Jiggy and Parth's achievements, but Kastuki?" he asked.
"Am district champion" she said with big confidence.
"Brilliant, its settled then." Randhir said with a smile.
"So you are not participating?" asked Jiggy
"Not in sports. Have you noted everything Frumpy?" Randhir asked Sanyukta and she just raised her eye brows.
"So in Science category, there are 3 categories again which are Solo, Doubles and Group Work. We've decided that, all of us will be participating in all the categories."
"It is our core area. So no compromise on that." Added Randhir
"There is no specific topic, so you can decide on what you want to do. But, only thing is that you are allowed to use only 2-3 fresh items, while other material will be from scrap. And, it should be made only at the fest." Continued Sanyukta.
"You will have to submit as to what you will be making along with your entry forms, so that they can make necessary arrangements." Said Randhir
"There is another twist as well which is applicable only to Team Category, where it says that apart from what we intend to make, on the spot a material will be given, which has to be included in our project in the most efficient manner." Added Sanyukta.
"wow, this is interesting." Exclaimed Jiggy.
"Yes. Since this is hardcore engineering, we thought that maybe we could decide who will do what, and who will pair up with whom and also our Team project tomorrow after doing research. What do you say?" asked Sanyukta while others nodded.
"So the last activity is Arts which again has 4 categories which are Dance, Music, Instrument and Art?" asked Randhir to Sanyukta
"Didn't you see the brochures?" asked Vidushi
"well, I did. But she's my assistant, so she should know it thoroughly." He replied with attitude.
"Yeah yeah. So Art is the 4th category. You can perform any form in Dance and Music - which can be solo or duet but for instruments its only solo. Again this should be informed beforehand. As far as Art is concerned, though you are allowed to use any type which ranges from pencil sketch to oil paints, topic will be given on spot." Said Sanyukta.
"Dance-contemporary and Randhir you are dancing." said Vidushi.
"Yeah man, you have to participate in another category right?" said Parth
"yup, Love will sing. But you are to dance as arts and instrument is out of question for you." Said Jiggy.
"Can I participate in arts too?" asked Kastuki.
"Of course Kastu. Ankit sir gave us a minimum slot of 2. What do you wanna do?" asked Sanyukta.
"Dance of course." Beamed Kastu while Parth said "then I will also participate in Art."
"Jiggy you in Instrument - violin" said Randhir and Jiggy shrugged.
"Cool, its settled then. Here are the forms. Fill in the basic stuff and about sports and arts. Science we will do it together." Said Sanyukta distributing the forms.
"Lets please have dinner. Am starving." Whined Parth.
All of them left the room, except Sanyukta who was arranging the brochures and other papers into a file.
"You will make a good assistant." Said Randhir smirking trying to provoke her but all Sanyukta did was ignore him and walked past him.
