Being beloved of emperor jodha has every thing ... MUz or no MuZ

What power gave taaj Bibi Jagath gosain being bulques makhani...

Exactly what the hell does she think that she is going to achieve by being MUZ, when jalal will hate her. Jodha has everything. I too agree ela. I don't know who said that she will be God of the sultanate. Ela when will jodha get the title of mallika e hind? You should ask that to the zee man the next time you call. Probably it will be a change for him too. Anyways, what did he tell you exaclty and how did you blast him ela?

Then she could have been just one among the many queens. Why was she a chief queen. You nce said that ruku was plain looking and childless and so Akbar wouldn't have cared for her. Then why should he care for Salima who was no beauty herself and couldn't give him a child either?

Ela you want to believe that jalal loved only and only jodha and that other queens were either unimportant or platonic as in the case of Salima or namesake as in the case of ruku. I believe that though HK was his favorite he wasn't unfair to his other wives.

I wonder if all the clamor for establishing Akbar's only and only beloved would have been there if Akbar had not been so great. Then the fact that a Hindu princess was married to a Mughal would have been looked at with disdain.

Sandhya : I get your point of akbar being fair to all his wives, however basic premise of a love story is that bother partners are most special to each other, and since there is rather open ended evidence to suggest the same wrt HK and Akbar - thus the clamor.

Coming to greatness of Akbar, even within the same era there were other great "non Mughal" rulers (including Rajputs) and they or their families don't need to be piggybacked on Akbar's greatness for their claim to fame.

The greatness of this love story is not just because of Akbar's greatness but also because it was between two individuals of very different culture and heritage and that survived againg the backdrop of tumultuous times

exactly...with the festive seaon going on and vacations hardly anyone would be sitting before tv and that too for depressing scenario..they have to wrap this up before diwali which i suppose falls on 22nd,right?? iske baad they have to deal with sharif and his dad and then may be leap to salim's birth

and last week all the shows trp dipped coz of long weekend and also champions league final stage...and this may continue till after vacations ...

Chitra
I don't deny that HK was more special to Akbar than any other wife. But surely Akbar was no one woman man. I am only baffled by the forum attitude who were aghast when Salima blushed in DEK.

Akbar was not the only great. There were MP who is remembered for his resistance to Akbar and PRC and many others all over India...Akbar was not the only famous king. Also there might have been innumerable mughal-hindu alliances during that period. Inter religious marriages and inter community marriages. And many other strong love stories as well. Perhaps mirza koka and his Rajput wife too shared a tender beautiful romance. But nobody is interested in establishing the alliance or feeling proud that our Hindu princesses were the heart throb of those Mughals. But if there is so much eagerness to establish his partiality to HK over his other wives to the extent of trying to disprove his affection for any other wife or even relationship with his Salima it only seems an attempt to share a greater portion of the limelight of his greatness.
