The Originals Season 2 Spoiler: Does Cami Die?

Main characters totally die on The Originals (R.I.P., Sophie). Should we be worried about Cami(Leah Pipes)? Well, we weren't " until we saw this gruesome photo from the set. Er, does this mean Cami is not long for this mortal coil?

"Pipes. Pup," The Originals writer Carina MacKenzie captioned an Instagram photo of Leah with a very bloody neck. Also, she is holding a puppy. The puppy is adorable, but less relevant to ourSeason 2 speculation than the neck wound.

So, does she die? Our guess? Nope. It's not like Cami's never been attacked by a vampire before. This show is full of near-misses. Plus, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) totally has a thing for her, and he tends to get what he wants, which includes keeping Cami alive.

Cami also has the important meta-role of being the only human main character. Though The Vampire Diaries has demonstrated that it's not important to have a human majority in one's cast of characters, it definitely helps to have at least one we mere mortal viewers can relate to. Cami is kind of like The Original's Matt Donovan. They even have the same color palate.

So, what's going on then? Even if we don't think Cami is dying from her bloody neck wound, we still want to know what the heck is going on. Who bit her? It could have been Klaus, who is all sorts of messed up since the werewolves cursed him via a bitter witch. Klaus' superhuman strength is now drained every full moon. Is Cami offering her blood to keep him from suffering too badly?

There's also Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) to consider, who is also chummy with Cami. Last time we checked, he was building his own vampire empire on the other side of the river. Maybe humans/blood bags are scarce out there? Maybe he and Cami have some sort of deal worked out: She gives him her blood and he teaches her how to mix some killer cocktails popular in the Roaring 20s. Or, you know, something.
