It must be of immense pressure being a one man army of the family for Akbar in 16th century
Nowadays woman take care of kids alone and outside work too when husband has gone outside on work but in 16th century it must be immense pressure on Akbar to be the only man of his house.
In 16th century society norms were strict so woman depended on all sorts of decisions and actions on the men of the house. And in Akbar's case he is the only man of his entire family consisting of hundreds of wives, few elder sisters, many mothers, a brother young enough to be son. Above that pressure of running an empire, day to day administration and also to go to wars now and then.
Despite all these pressures the fact that he handled head of family position, the only male member and also handling emperor work deserves praise. Apart from that he had crazy and cunning relatives to handle be it Sharifuddin, Adham, Maham, Mah chu chuk, Hakim Mirza and Abul Mali.
Any other person would have gone crazy or at least given up sometime but Akbar went on and on. Atleast for administration he had navratnas and governors handling but issues like Bakshi abuse, etc was in itself a full time job for any other normal man.
He was literally the one man army of his family from age of 17 till 46 years old when Salim and Murad became 18 years old and then they could split their roles. Like when Salim is in war Akbar can handle issues in other provinces and Murad can take care of family in agra. No wonder Akbr was relieved when Salim was born and bonus was Murad and Daniyal. If only they did not give in to vices.
