Chapter 8

Few days passed.  Arjun & Sakshi got used to each other.  Even though Sakshi used to smile when she was with him but Arjun felt her sadness.  He was trying hard to find out about Purab.  He always saw a hope in Sakshi's eyes.  He didn't want to disappoint her.

Sakshi...Sakshi... Kaha ho tum yaar.  Arrey Arjun main yaha kitchen main.  Kyu chillarahe ho?  Arrey Sakshi tumhe kuch batana hain Arjun said.  Vo sab chodo maine aaj apni haathon se tumhaari favourite biriyani banayi hain tum pehle vo khaalo phir tumhe jo bhi batana hain batadena Sakshi held his hand & dragged him towards dining table.  Biriyani aur tumne banaya hain?  Hey bhagwan mujhe bachale.  Mujhe itni jaldi marna nahi hain.  Arjun was pleading to god looking towards ceiling.  Sakshi hit him in his arm & said maine biriyani main zeher nahi daala hain jisse khaake tum marjao. Ab chup chap baito main biriyani serve karti hoon.  She served him.  Arjun was smiling looking towards her.  You may be rude sometimes but your heart is of a child.  Kuch bhi nahi rakti dil main.  Yehi baat acchi lagti hain mujhe tum main Sakshi.  Keecha chala jaata hoon tumhari taraf main.  I wish humhaara ye saath zindagi bar aise hi rahe.  Arjun was lost in his thoughts when Sakshi poked him.  Aww Sakshi apna nails khaato tum kitni zor se laga mujhe Arjun said rubbing his arm.  Ab tum apni baatein chodkar biriyani nayi khaayi na toh main tumhaare aankhen nochloongi.  Sakshi tum toh chudial nikli yaar.  Anyways dekte hain kaisi bani hain biriyani?  Arjun took one spoon of it.  Sakshi was waiting eagerly to see his reaction.  Arjun closed his eyes & said Superb, Fantabulous, Marvellous.  Kya biriyani banayi hain yaar tumne.  Its fantastic.  Bahut tasty hain.  Maa ko bhi nahi aata aisi biriyani banana.  Sakshi became delighted & said sacchi Arjun itni tasty bani hain.  Maine taste hi nahi kiya yaar.  I can't believe meri banayi huwi dish tumhe itni pasand aayega.  Let me taste it.  She swallowed a bit of biriyani & started screaming.  Aww Arjun itna teekha hain ye?  Mera mooh jalgaya. Paani...Paani. Arjun gave her a glass of water.  She drank whole glass of water.  Arjun ek aur glass.  Arjun kyu kiya tumne aisa?  Bataya kyu nahi ki acchi nahi bani biriyani?  Mujhe sacchi main bura nahi lagta.  Sakshi tumne pehli baar mere liye kuch banaya hain.  Main tumhe disappoint kaise karta?  Aur waise bhi mujhe biriyani bahut pasand aaya aur main yehi khaavoonga.  Sakshi held his arm & said sorry Arjun mujhse kuch nahi hota.  Main tumhaare chehre par smile dekhna chahti thi bas.  Mujhe pehle hi taste karleni chahiye tha.  Ab dinner main kya khaavoge tum?  Dinner main?  Tumhari special - Bread & Jam khaavoonga banadogi please?  Arjun pleaded in front of Sakshi.  Sakshi burst out laughing.  Arjun mere mood ko teek kaise karna hain ye tumse behtar aur koi nahi jaanta.  Accha tum kuch kehne wale the na?  Mere biriyani ke chakkar main tumhe mauka hi nahi mila.  Haan vo...Arjun batao na please.  Sakshi purab ka pata chalgaya. Car ka number hain MH 04 2369, Purab Khanna ke naam par ye car registered hain.  Address hain - Flat #12, Arundati Apartment, Andheri, Mumbai.  Sakshi was delighted that she hugged Arjun in an instant.  Arjun I am so, so happy.  Purab, mera purab milgaya.  Chalo Arjun abhi chalte hain usse milne.  Arjun held her hand & said Sakshi relax.  I checked in his address.  He has vacated the place.  I am still looking forward to his current location.  Vo miljaaye toh we can go & meet him.  Ok?  Seeing her disappointed face Arjun cupped her cheeks & said Sakshi don't worry.  We have got little information no?  We'll find out more.  Ab chalo dinner ready karo.  Bahut bhook lagi hain. 

Sakshi was busy in cleaning when phone rang.  She picked up.  From the other side Arjun spoke.  Sakshi ready hojaavo. I am coming to pick you up by 5.  Saying this Arjun hung up.  Ye Arjun bhi na kuch bhi nayi bataya.  Bas ready hone keliye kaha.  Shaayad koi surprise hoga.  Lets get ready.

Arjun showed up at 5 & took her to a restaurant.  Sakshi tum yehi wait karo main abhi aaya.  Par Arjun.   Sakshi was looking around her when she heard her name.  She turned towards that voice & got stunned.  Purab was standing in front of her.  She was shocked to see him that she was not able to move from that place & she was not able to speak also.  Sakshi kaisi ho tum?  Purab asked holding her hand.  Purab kaha chale gaye the tum mujhe chodkar?  Tumhe andaaza bhi hain kaise kaate maine itne din tumhaare bina?  Bahut akeli hogayi thi main purab.  I'm sorry Sakshi. Tumhaare papa ne mujhe dhamki di thi ki agar main tumhaare life se nahi gaya toh vo tumhe chot pohochayenge.  Main khud dard sehsakta hoon par tumhe dard main nahi deksakta main Sakshi. Ab main aagaya hoon na sab kuch teek hojaayega

Kya yaar tum log?  Kitne dino baad mile ho.  Kushi kushi baat karne ke bajaaye devdas paro ke dialogues sunaa rahe ho?  Come lets cut the cake on your re-union.  Sakshi smiled seeing Arjun.  She held his hand & said Thanks Arjun mujhe Purab se milaane keliye.  I don't know how to return this favour.  Sakshi dosti main no thank you... No sorry Sakshi finished.  Sakshi & Purab cut the cake.  Arjun took one piece & smeared it on Sakshi's face.  Arjun kya karrahe ho yaar sakshi said wiping the cake from her face.  You both enjoy your evening.   I'll take your leave.  Bye. 

He is very nice na?  Purab said feeding cake to Sakshi.  Haan Purab he never took advantage of me.  He is more than a friend to me.  Itne saalon main papa se jo baatein share nahi karpaayi na vo baatein main Arjun se share karti hoon.  When I asked for divorce usne ek shabd bhi nahi kaha.  He agreed instantly. Usne jee jaan lagadi tumhe doondne main.  He has lost his love but still uske chehre par hamesha vo pyaari si smile rehta hain jo kisika dukh bhi bulaade. 

Accha Sakshi kal valentines day hain.  I have organized a party.  I want you to be there.  Main apne saare friends se tumhe milvaana chahta hoon.  Aavogi na?  Of course aavoongi purab.  Can I drop you?  Nahi Purab uski zaroorat nahi hain.  Main Auto se chali jaavoongi.  Sakshi Auto aur tum? Purab Arjun ne sab sikhadiya hain mujhe. Main khud chali jaavoongi don't worry. 

Arjun...Arjun... She checked in the entire house no traces of Arjun. Kaha gaya subah subah?  Kal raat ko bhi mere ghar pohochne se pehle hi sogaya tha aur ab mere utne se pehle hi chala gaya hain. Call karti hoon.  Arjun picked up after second ring.  Haan Sakshi bolo.  Arjun itni subah subah mujhe bina bataye kaha gaye tum?  Sakshi mera ek friend leave par hain aaj on the occasion of Valentines Day. So I am filling up for him.  You have to get to learn to live without me Sakshi... Arjun said in a low voice. Arjun aisa kyu bolrahe ho?  Kya huwa tumhe?  Sakshi I have to go. Main baad main baat karta hoon.  Arjun hung up.  Sakshi felt sad after hearing Arjun's words.  Arjun tum mujhse aise kyu baat karrahe ho?  Maine kuch galat kiya kya?  Mujhse door kyu jaarahe ho?  Main kaise rahoongi tumhaare bina?  Sakshi's inner voice was speaking her feelings. 

Sakshi called Arjun in the evening to tell him about her plans with Purab. Arjun just said take care & cut the call.  He was distancing himself from her.  Sakshi was feeling really bad.  Arjun was hosting the show in the same restaurant where Purab has organized the party.  Purab got drunk badly.  Arjun's collegue was speaking to the gathered persons in the party.  Purab took the mike from him & said Love, Pyaar, Ishq ye sab bakwaas hain.  Pyaar se pet nahi barta, humhaare sapne poore nahi hote.  Paisa, paise se humaare dreams sach hote hain.  You know maine ek amir baap ke beti se pyaar ka naatak kiya aur vo phas bhi gayi par uske kamine baap ne mujhe paise dikhaakar mere bana banaya plan bigad diya.  Mere luck bhi ajeeb hain.  Vo phir se meri zindagi main aayi hain.  Bevakoof ladki.  Usse kya lagta hain main usse pyaar karta hoon?  Never.  I was playing love game with her. Ab vo ladki bhi meri aur uske baap ka saara paisa bhi.  Woooh.   Time for celebration.  Arjun was listening to his each & every word. Vivek usse uska naam pooch Arjun said.  Sir..Sir aapka naam.  Purab...Purab naam hain mera.  His name took the air out of Arjun's body.  Sakshi hi vo ladki.  Oh my God.  Arjun picked up his phone & dialed the landline.  Sakshi pick up..pick up the phone.  Hello... Sakshi's voice ringed in his ear.  Thank God Sakshi tum ghar par hi ho.  Sakshi listen to me carefully.  You are not going to Purab's party.  Do you hear me? You are not going anywhere near Purab.  I will come home as soon as possible.  Arjun..Arjun meri baat.  Before she could complete her words Arjun hung up.  Yeh Arjun apne aap ko samajta kya hain?  Ye kaun hota hain mujhe ye batanewaala ki mujhe kya karna hain aur kya nahi?  Ab main kya karoon?  Purab wait karraha hoga waha.  I can't wait here. Arjun ko main baad main samjaadoongi.  Abhi mujhe jaana hain. She left the house neglecting Arjun's words. 

Sakshi reached the destination.  She was searching for Purab when a hand grabbed her waist from behind.  Sakshi tum aagayi purab said nuzzling her neck.  Sakshi was feeling uncomfortable with purab's behaviour. Purab ye kya karrahe ho tum?  Sab dekrahe hain.  Please chodo mujhe. Sakshi was squirming under his hold.  Chalo main tumhe apne friends se milvaata hoon.  Purab dragged her towards his friends.  They were all drunked.  Sakshi doesn't like the way they were looking at her. Purab mujhe accha nahi lagraha hain yaha.  Please chalo yaha se.  Sakshi abhi toh party shuru huwi hain abhi kaise jaayein thoda enjoy toh karle purab said bringing his face towards her.  She smelled alchohol.. She crunched her nose with that smell & asked Purab are you drunk?  Pehle toh nahi peete the tum?  Holding her by her waist he stroked her jaw & said Sakshi sakshi waqt sab kuch badal deta hain.  Pehle toh mere paas paise nahi the.  Ab main amir hoon Sakshi.  Jo marzi vo karloon. Tumse milne ki kushi main thoda sa peeliya bas.  Ab cake khaato.  Not waiting for her he took the cake & smeared that on her face.  Purab what are you doing?  Mujhe ye sab accha nahi lagta.  Kyu?  Arjun karo toh tumhe accha lagta hain?  Main karoon toh tumhe bura lagta hain kya?  Arjun ke touch main aisa kuch nahi tha Purab.  We both are friends.  Haan haan friends ho tum dono.  Mujhe bevakoof samaj ke rakha hain tumne?  You want me to believe you ki tumdono ke beech main kuch nahi huwa?  Ek hi chath ke neeche rehte, dono jawaan ho.  Kisi weak moment main kuch na kuch toh zaroor huwa hoga.  Sakshi was shocked beyond words.  You are really disgusting purab.  Tum mujhe nahi jaante?  Bharosa nahi hain mujhpar?  Tum sharaab ke nashe main kuch bhi bhole jaarahe ho?  Suna tha ki log shaarab peekar sach boldete hain, aaj dekh bhi liya. I am ashamed of myself purab.  I loved you aur tum?  Chi... Main hi bevakoof thi jo tumhaare liye Arjun jaise acche insaan ka dil dukhaaya.  I am going. Before she could turn Purab caught hold of her & pulled her towards him.  Bevakoof toh tum ho hi Sakshi.  Apne pyaar keliye apne pati ko chodrahi ho tum?  Par main nahi.  Main tumhaare liye apne patni ko nahi chodoonga.  Tum...Tum shaadi shuda ho?  Sakshi asked in a shocked voice.  Haan kyu tum shaadi shuda nahi ho kya? Par main tumhaari tarah apne patni se door nahi rehta.  Bhala ho tumhaare baap ka jo mujhe sahi time par aayina dikhaadiya.  I traded you for my secured future Sakshi.  Tumhe accept kiya hota toh ye shaan, ye shaukat jisse main enjoy karraha hoon vo nahi milta mujhe. Tumhaare baap ke paise ke saamne mujhe tumhaara pyaar dikha hi nahi.  Aur tumhaara baap tumhaari zindagi sudaarne keliye tumhe Arjun jaise acche ladke se shaadi karvaayi.  Aur tum?  Tum toh mere pyaar main itni andhi hochukhi ho ki tumhe kuch aur dikhaayi nahi deta.  Phir se meri zindagi main aayi.  Aaj tumhe mujhse koi nahi bachasakta.  Chalo. Purab..Chodo mujhe.  He was dragging her towards a room when he was stopped by an arm over his shoulders.
