The Boo-boos

Yeah I'm talking about symbolism in boo-boos!🤔 Now I completely lost it!
Aata maajhi satakli!😛

But seriously, I do think that there is a significance to the places Aastha and Shlok got boo-boos.😳

In the very beginning of the show, Aastha crushes Shlok's index finger and middle finger in the elevator door. Shlok roamed about wearing a bandage to those two fingers for a few days. Then in Kolhapur, hot wax spills on his index finger. Again he hit his index finger with the hammer a few days ago when Aastha was doing the dhoop.

Coming to Aastha, she always gets her boo-boos on her Mount of Venus... I'm talking about the one in the hand🤔, the fleshy part where thumb meets the palm... or is it around her thumb that she gets those boo-boos?! She got a boo-boo near the Mount of Venus during the bamboo accident. Shlok ruptures that wound in another scene during the anniversary preparations, where he forces her to do mock pheras. Just before Holi, Shlok gets angry on her for digging his past and throws stuff around, which accidentally hurts her again on... the Mount of Venus. Remember the scene where Shlok licks off the ketchup from her hand?! Yeah that's the scene I'm talking about! And the hot wax in Aastha's case spills on her... Mount of Venus again! Or is it on whole of the hand?! OMG what's happening here?!😲

Let's see what each part in the hand signifies.

Thumb:
Self-control, will power, logical thinking and decision making.

Index finger or Jupiter finger:
Guidance, ambition, sense of purpose, place in society or family.

Middle finger or Saturn finger:
Discretion, responsibility, integrity, seriousness

Ring finger or Sun finger:
Passion, courage and charisma.

Little finger or Mercury finger:
Communication and sexual expression.

Mount of Venus:
Love, passion, emotions, sentiments.

When Shlok's index finger and middle finger got hurt and he bandaged them, it means that he was feeling hampered in the qualities that these two fingers govern. He was feeling a lack of guidance and a sense of purpose. He was irresponsible and he was not distinguishing right from wrong properly. He was compromising his integrity in the need to fight back Aastha and he lacked warmth.
Pic from 18-Sep-2013 episode below

In Kolhapur, only his index finger got burnt and not the middle finger. So though he was feeling lost and felt the lack of belonging (qualities governed by index finger), he was able to discern right from wrong, he was acting responsible and he was able to keep his integrity intact (qualities governed by the middle finger).

In the hammer scene too, he hurt his index finger, which means he was feeling neglected by Aastha. She is his home, where he belongs. She is the purpose of his life, his ambition and guiding force. He did say so many times before, even in hate period, with words like maksad (purpose), junoon (ambition) etc.

Aastha's common sense, self control and will power (qualities governed by the thumb) go for a toss, when it comes to Shlok and she is always guided by love, passion, emotions and sentiments (qualities governed by Mount of Venus). So in every scene I mentioned above, where she got hurt in those places, around her thumb or Mount of Venus, she let her heart rule over her head.

Oh I forgot! They suffered other injuries in the horse accident. Aastha on her elbow and Shlok in his palm as well as on his head. I cannot comprehend the inner meaning of all these injuries but ever since Shlok got that boo-boo on his head, he lost his mind. Aata Shlok's brain satakli!😛 Pardon my bad joke and very bad Marathi! Enjoy the post and please do share your thoughts.😊

--------------------Edit ------ 21-Aug-2014-----------------------------
Shlok got a boo-boo on his Mount of Venus while saving his baba today!😛
So he puts his heart above his head when it comes to baba... just like Aastha puts her heart above her head for Shlok.
Yippee! My theory is right!

Another thing I remembered is that Aastha always bites Shlok on his Mount of Venus.😆 I guess, Shlok's love for Aastha is also guided by heart.

Rekha ...😆, sorry I found it a bit funny that symbolism is on boo boos 😛 but really good analysis and you put a lot of thought into this. 👏.

I found a couple of things over last 2 days - Did you make a post on them already?
one is a trumpet/horn kind of thing in a semi circle shape behind NA in dining hall, I have never seen this before.
second is 2 deers jumping behind NA again when he was in pensive mood and when Pawar came in sneakily.

These 2 could mean definitely some thing...my part of analysis:
some body is going to blow a horn on NA's atrocities in near future and he is really worried about it as we know it. Is it Shlok or Astha?
Jumping deers - this could be for Pawar guy/ NA/ Astha as these 3 were present in that scene.

i didn't think about the horn but i saw those animal figurines behind Niranjan in the scene with Pawar. I thought those two were camels because they had long legs. camels carry loads, so niranjan will face troubles in future. thats what i thought. i'm not sure🤔

By the way, "Pawar" is an interesting name. He is threatening to cut Niranjan's "power".😛

Rekha,

Excellent Boo Boo Symbolism😆😆😆...but for me the content was not as funny as the Title(cute one)..Writing a review or symbolism about a current episode is doable for me but summing up all the scene regarding a particular subject and penning the Symbolism's was 👏..How do you manage to do that.?? Do you randomly think and pick the scene or you sit back and watch the episodes to hunt for those scenes...Just curious😊...

Aastha's common sense, self control and will power (qualities governed by the thumb) go for a toss, when it comes to Shlok and she is always guided by love, passion, emotions and sentiments (qualities governed by Mount of Venus). I totally agree with this one,how Astha willingly thins through her heart rather than her Brain.😆😆

I cannot comprehend the inner meaning of all these injuries but ever since Shlok got that boo-boo on his head, he lost his mind. Aata Shlok's brain satakli!😛

And this is undeniable😆😆😆.

Thanks for your time Rekha..

😛thanks deepa. i guess, my brain is tuned to analyze every f**king thing that catches my interest. can't help it.😛

I remember scenes from my favorites tracks very well - from the beginning till aditi came, after swathi died till their consummation and now this stranger track. unless i need to get snap shots, i don't particularly watch the episodes just to make this post, because I have already watched these episodes a lot of times before😛

this post came to my mind because we discussed shlok burning his hand in the candle post. then it occured to me that he always hurt his index finger and aastha always hurt her thumb and the region around it.😛
