I am telling with reference to the animated sig u posted above...
Firstly,the creator might had combined both the avis and the final avi was of 11 layers as can be seen clearly. Then,he/she may have written the text...The order is as follows:
First Layer : A
Second Layer : A LIT
Third Layer : A LITTLE
Fourth Layer : A LITTLE BIR
Fifth Layer : A LITTLE BIRDIE
Sixth Layer : A LITTLE BIRDIE CHI
Seventh Layer : A LITTLE BIRDIE CHIRPED
Eighth Layer : A LITTLE BIRDIE CHIRPED I
Ninth Layer : A LITTLE BIRDIE CHIRPED IN
Tenth Layer : A LITTLE BIRDIE CHIRPED IN.
Eleventh Layer : A LITTLE BIRDIE CHIRPED IN..

And when you animate it,it is done...So,the text effect is just the arrangement of words/letters as per your own choice.
