I am not watching the show since last Thursday. Till yesterday on reading Ela's thread and those of various others in the forum such as Mansi etc, I was more or less convinced that Jalal was playing along with Atifa and was on top of the game. But on reading todays WU/LU that belief lies in the dust. In fact today I am wholly convinced that Jalal is exhibiting the classic symptoms of a two-timing and unfaithful husband. Allow me to list the symptoms so to speak :
1. No time for Jodha. In fact it almost seems Jalal has become oblivious to the existence of his beloved pregnant wife.
2. Jalal's growing irritation with Jodha and his increasing misbehaviour towards her. Jalals stated misconduct with jodha started with his fascination with Atifa... in fact his fascination and his abysmal treatment of a pregnant Jodha seem to have developed on parallel tracks and seem to be directly proportional to each other --- the deeper Jalal falls for Atifa the greater is his mistreatment of Jodha. In fact in todays episode ,I believe, Jalal's misbehaviour towards Jodha seems to have increased at an exponential rate --- only to be worse tomorrow (pre cap).
3. The very qualities that had endeared Jodha to Jalal (her fearlessness to speak her mind, love for the truth, to fight for the less fortunate, to put the need of others before her own etc), have today become points of criticism or reasons for her disobedience' and ground for Jalal's perceived public insult' by a wife who is taking undue advantage' of his love(?)--- so what was hunar yesterday is negative today.
So, friends unfortunately I do not believe that we are getting TE back. He is not in the loop. This is because I truly believe that Jalal, in the name of play acting, would not scream, shout, holler and misbehave with a pregnant jodha...I don't think his need to pull off a convincing act' would allow him to mistreat Jodha and jeopardise the lives of his unborn children!! No, Jalal would never knowingly' do that.
I read in the forum to day that there is some news on a fb page that Jodha sees Jalal and Atifa in a compromising position. I know nothing of the truth or falsity of this piece of news but I do believe that in the coming episodes such a similar scene will be enacted--- Jodha will witness Jalal and Atifa together ( I am not saying that they will consummate) as this is how she will get to know of their affair'(as Jodha still does not know...for sure) and her worse fears will hence get confirmed. This, I believe, will be followed by an ugly and bitter confrontation between Jodha and Jalal, where a Atifa - intoxicated Jalal may even go to the extent of telling a shocked Jodha that he has found new love with Atifa and may even blame Jodha's so called many disobediences' for this loss of love between them (a classic case of guilt transference perhaps?). This, no doubt, will leave Jodha completely shattered and betrayed. But, her innate Rajvanshi pride will enable her to stand tall with dignity and take it on her chin--- Jodha will give it' to Jalal and call a spade a spade--- that it is not she who has strayed but it his him... it is Jalal who has betrayed her trust and her love at that point in her life when she needed him the most.
In the meantime sundry other tracks may be played out...such as Jodha's second' kidnap by Khyber/ Cheapuddin, Jalal's search for her (again?)...courtesy sbs and others...however such tracks will run subsidiary to the Jalal-Atifa track and herald the possible closure of the Khyber track. I think after this the Jala- Atifa track will take it's full form with zinakari'/adultery charges being levelled against Jalal in DEK by Atifa's husband with the sole objective of dethroning Jalal or forcing him to abdicate the throne. It is at this point that this entire drama/torture reaches its pinnacle and then begins to unravel itself!
Now, given this scenario, I think there are only two possibilities :
1. Jalal has genuinely fallen for Atifa--- in which case I am not interested in analysing the situation as by then I would have become a permanent non-viewer of the show... So Jalal can marry Atifa to save his takht and honeymoon in Switzerland for all I care!
2. Jalal is under the influence of some drug (discussed many times in the forum and I tend to agree with this possibility) and therefore, is not in his senses ( taken leave of his senses' would be more apt I think!). If this happens then...Jalal lovers steel your selves!... it will be Jodha Begum to the rescue, yes again, this time possibly with Atga's help Jodha will unravel the mystery of the Unfaithful Emperor and save the takht and not to forget, save the Shahenshah from himself...the rest, as they say, is history my dear friends!!
