Every season of Colors' popular reality show, Bigg Boss comes with a baggage of surprises. The surprise can be in the form of the most controversial and noisiest of people chosen as contestants, even a po*nstar. And what if two contestants in the Bigg Boss house happen to be ex-flames?

Well, this trend seems to be common in the last few editions of Bigg Boss that have gone on air!!

The most popular of ex-couples to have made it big in the house of controversies happen to be the spunkyDelnaaz Irani and the rather serious looking Rajev Paul. They appeared as contestants in the Season 6 of Bigg Boss. The duo filed for divorce after sharing a happy married life for nearly 14 years. Though Rajev tried his best to woo the woman inside the house and get her back in his life, Delnaaz stuck to her ground and never allowed Rajev to get close to her again. Both of them actually made quite a lot of noise inside the Bigg Boss house, and this success might have rung bells in the minds of the channel and makers of bringing estranged couples together again through the show.

Well, the trend continued and we also saw the same season (Bigg Boss 6) bringing two models Niketan Madhok and Karishma Kotak facing each other eye-to-eye, years after they ended their relationship. Both of them had come out in the open that theirs was a closed chapter that lasted for only a couple of months. Whatever it may be, the channel was bingo' on the spot yet again, as Niketan and Karishma too added their share of spice to the reality show.

Moving on to Season 7 of the reality show, the makers did try out this trick yet again. The stage was set by the angry young man' Kushal Tandon and the seductive Gauahar Khan spicing up the season with their ever-blossoming love story. And to add the other' factor into their love story, the makers did bring in Kushal's ex-flameCandy Brar into the thick of things through wild card. Aah, but this controversial' addition fizzled out soon and failed to recreate the magic as seen in Season 6.

Now, coming to the upcoming season of the reality show, news of Gaurav Chopraa and Narayani Shastri, again a couple whose love life died a premature death, have been approached to play a big role in Season 8 of Bigg Boss.

Well, only time will tell whether the makers can get away with a repeated trick to strike gold.
