Gosh... I love YHM!!! It so much connects with your daily life!!!
Yesterday's pasta fiasco reminded me of my mom's pasta. Whenever I feel like eating pasta I would buy the Maggi cheese macroni flavour. One such day I asked my mom to make it for me and when I looked at the bowl I was equally shocked like Raman coz it was all brown and red!! 😲
And I asked my mom wats this? She said " arey wo packet wala thing had no taste so I added my masala and some tomato and onion. Now its spicy and tasty" So instead of my cheese macroni flavour with some sweet corn, there were the xtra additions of chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala and onion and tomato!! I soo much wanted to say mom the original taste has been murdered but looking at her face I could only say "wow!! this is a new style" 😆 😆
From that day onwards I make sure I buy only that tangy pasta flavours coz if she really wants to add masala let it be on them.

PS : Southies don't add sambhar powder to every dish they make. Its mostly coriander powder and garam masala to get that spicy flavour.

lol same thing happened with us, cousins and me, too- our moms decided to cook. but in our family we don't stop at just adding more masalas. oh no, we got chopped vegetables and coriander leaves too. each of them kept adding more and more stuff they found around the kitchen and by the end of the disaster, it was subji with noodles 🤢😆
