Yes you can't suspect every person you come across, but that does not mean you swing to the other end of the pendulum and trust everyone so easily either.

if we r talking of activists here , they pay CAREFUL attention to the complaints of people . If people say they feel unsafe for their daughters coz sleazy men come in and go at odd hours in this building , they do a full enquiry to ensure they r on the right side of the cause , as human dignity protection is above everything for them as human activists . So if a residential flat in a society is used for commercial purposes or a building in a community for living is suspected of nefarious activities , no activism is launched till activists r 100 % sure they r on the right side of human right violation . Here the police told Anandi that residents complained. Later a girl was ACTUALLY found doing call girl activities and arrested who is connected with the lady Anandi is defending without going into any residential complaint or doing any homework about that woman . Is not that too much of a co incidence . Activists r supposed to be intelligent not dumb . If this foolish activism is succesful girls from good families may get molested or enticed to be call girls for pocket money . God help society from such activism .

he fundamental lesson here is not to get suckered into believing the sob stories of others...which anandi does not heseem to get. Just because the names, situations, faces of people change each time, it does not mean that she is making new mistakes.

If a sob story comes to an activist ...and believe me they get hundreds of them , before taking panga with the police they do full homework . The protest is egoistic [ my word should be good enough] and without doing any homework regarding Pramila

so yeah , the activist can safely be called dumb . .

I don't want to compare this case with Khirki case. For one, the girls/ladies involve in Khiki case were not Indian nationals and (as per newspaper reports) did not have work permit. How they were living and working in India? A lot of questions that were not answered because media stopped to report the case. The police was reluctant to raid, and politicians were forcing police who did not even have search warrant. The case in BV is quite different.

Here the dance academy owner is actually guilty, but police could not find anything in raid. Just because Anandi was saying that she knows Pramila well (which was wrong because Anandi met her a few times only), it cannot be said that Pramila was a victim there, or the raid tarnished the name of her academy.

I never use adjectives like duffer or abuse any character including Anandi.

For those who forgive anandi s faults by saying she is not a professional social worker but a homegrown type of one who operates on the basis of her organic empathy towards women in general...I say enough is enough.

That argument worked in her early days when she was young, did not have education, was still raw from her wounds of being abandoned by jagya etc... However at this age, and with her current situation and context in life...her insistence on not becoming professionalized, getting proper qualifications in terms of a masters in social work, not registering for a license does not look nice. Most of the people humour her because she is the collectors wife. She does not have any individualism of her own.

It is half baked activism thats most dangerous . If the raids discontinue bcoz of Anandi's interference , the next step of Pramila will be enticing good girls from middle class families to learn art and become call girl on the sly to get pocket money without telling their parents or husbands . Life is costly and women like Pramila teach them how to acquire things without living a life with straitened means in return for a comission to them . Activists like Anandi spoil the lives of thousands of young girls with half baked activism if it is unluckily succesful . She may have done good earlier but never should she stop doing homework .

@bold bang on. i also said same thing in A's case. bcoz its not abt inherent nature or rite intentions or trust etc. but as u said ego problem.this statement is reeking of ego.

I think that the whole activism angle hinges on the veracity of the person who complained to shiv. We don't know if it was an anonymous complaint or whether the resident who complained documented their identity.

If it was an anonymous complaint then yes, we can say that it may be a saajish against pramila by an enemy or a rival dance academy trying to damage her student base. But if the complainant clearly identified himself/herself and other residents did so too... Then the collector is well within his rights to look into the matter through a raid.
