"Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards."
The Ocean; It's intoxicating, melancholy, calm and furious. It gives you the small soft waves that gently sweep over your feet and the large wave that can topple you and drown you if you are not wary.
For Khushi to be on the beautiful beach to do some soul searching is the perfect place because it represents the tempest in her life. So after her contemplation and unsatisfactory decision that at best she can remain friendly and polite with Arnav because she does not trust him. Arnav means Ocean and he is the storm in her heart and mind.
Would his reaction be any different in future when problems arise? Where does that leave me?
I will trust him with my life but not with my love. Without trust in the equation, how can we?
Sure enough, as she walks away from the gentle waves she is faced with the big wave...Arnav...he wades out of the water. He makes demands for her time because he needs to talk more and she silently stands firm and determined; he moved out of her way and she walks away.
Well done Khushi. He does not get to dictate terms in her life. He has not earned that right!! I am with Khushi.
As she walks away realization hit Arnav.
For the first time Arnav understood the damage he had caused. He was responsible for Khushi's stunted emotional growth. She was exactly where he had left her five years ago. Just as he was. He couldn't blame anyone for his status quo in life but the guilt that he had ruined her life ate at him.
So, what will Arnav do that will make a huge impact on Khushi so he can win her trust?
That which he needs to tell her, could it possibly be the same thing that she needs to be "honest" about?
I also have a nagging feeling that after he broke off with her the 2nd time he did go after her after a little time, but either witnessed or heard something and that is when he decided that it was best to "let her go" for her benefit. But still, it is betrayal because he alone cannot make a decision that affected her life.
Anya and Aman - What a lovely couple. Very happy for them. Loved their conversation and the way he consoled and supported her. Also happy that Aman is Arnav's friend and silent support. He was in Singapore at Arnav's behest...wasn't he? Anya and Khushi, they have a special bond...soul sisters.
Loved the hug Aman gave Khushi at the coffee klatch and the light banter between friends and family.
The toast by Anjali..."To love and oneness" left me melancholy.
Beautiful venue for the wedding. Every wedding has some "calamity"...does this wedding have one? Will it be a test for Arnav?
What the...too long again. This chapter has secrets and clues about more than one thing. My head is stumped!!
Another brilliant chapter. Well done Sandhya!!
