Madhuri is the Queen of Bollywood because she can do anything, and do it with such panache. Whether it's seduction (Devdas), revenge (anjaam), girl next door (Hum Aapke Hain Koun) or a heartbroken spoiled brat (Pukar).

Sridevi for me.If she didn't have slight hindi diction handicap,she would have ruled for a longer time.how she evolved from south movies to blockbusters with Jeetender and then superhits with yash chopra,AB and worked with Khans too.When Madhuri came to mainstream bollywood,she very much had a sridevi hangover.you can see her copying Sri's expressions in most songs.maybe their common factor was saroj khan who gave them their major hit songs.

Its Sridevi all the way...no second thoughts about it😳.

Sridevi hands down...she acted with seniors like amitabh ,jeetendra and at the same time also seen with the then younger generation like shah and salman...

Sridevi is a phenomenal actress..and Madhuri has had her own aura,be it acting or dancing..I feel its unfair to compare the two..Both are greats of Hindi Cinema..We can put Madz and Sri in a group and then compare them with the rest of their times..then that will be fun..😆.Or else cant choose...

I think their current status in the industry says it all.

Madhuri- 3 disasters back to back, little to no appreciation for her acting - Infact most people liked Juhi more in GG. She dances at every single award show, had to relegate herself to an item number in YJHD and is a judge on some reality show.

Sridevi - took a 15 year break came back and delivered a successful movie that is STILL making waves today as it had a Japanese release. She doesn't dance at every show, she doesn't attend every event. Infact she is quite distant from the media and is selective about her appearances.

I personally believe that a real and true star is one that is selective and unattainable, there's a mystery in them and they don't pop up every there and be an attention seeker. Sridevi is like that, she has the aura and attitude of a legend, unlike Madhuri who honestly just comes across as a fake wannabe who is trying to hold on to her nonexistent career

I cannot separate Sridevi the actress who acted in Tamil and Telugu from the one who acted in BW, so in terms of versatility, body of work and sheer talent, I chose Sridevi for the sake of this poll.

It's a big insult for a legend like Sridevi to be compared to someone like Madhuri.

If one compares dem acting wise, den for me Madhuri wins hands down. Madhuri has alwas been known more for her dazzling smile nd phenomenal dancing nd hence her acting his always been overlooked.

Also Sridevi tends to go overboard nd even in EV I found her trying too hard to play d docile housewife nd her dialogue delivery is bad. On d other hand Madhuri is a very subtle nd restrained actor nd she performs soo effortlessly nd fuss free dat her acting again tends to get overlooked. Case in point Dedh Ishqiyaa - where in some of d scenes she performed so brilliantly, just her eyes nd body language conveying her feelings, but not many will bother to notice dat.
