I don't remember how i found about this but i found out about it but i was interested in the whole storyline and especially since Yooh Ah In was in it so i gave it a shot. The whole thing with the older woman and younger man love story or affair thingy was made it even more interesting and sold me in watching it. At first told myself only one episode and that is it. I watched all four that was available at the time.Even episodes 5 and 6...on constant repeat and rewind and the story really picks up momentum around episode 2 towards episode 3 on a personal standpoint. Everything about this is...phenomenal. This is what i was waiting for in a drama after Secret aired last year and funny how another drama that has a similar name to it as well has become my latest obsession and addiction.
Everything is just beautiful and simply unique about it from the weird yet interesting camera angles that they use to screen the characters and their expressions, the music and BG score they use to match the scenes (which are absolutely perfect to a TEE!!!!), the cinematography and just overall feel just feels so dark, gloomy, intense, passionate, and just downright electrifying and scaring that its staggering yet intriguing and makes it feel as if its a movie than a drama.
Plus Kim Hee Ae who plays Oh Hye Won, this is my first time watching her in a drama but my gosh im in love with her. She is headstrong but so calculating and like that weird chairman who chases after weird ahjumma's said she is the Big Fox. She is the one that is always making the final move for all the big players in the foundation and she has the ability to overthrow all of them when the times comes. However, on a side note I'm glad it wasn't just a wham bam thing and more of a conscious descent and struggle with her character before she falls into giving in. Its more realistic instead of going the easier route of her husband cheating or being such a lousy bas***d that treat her like crap they made it to me more realistic and simple in a way. He is a just an insecure jerk who probably married her to lift himself up and still does so when it suites him but anything else concerning her...he doesn't care or visibly notice. After years of marriage that were for convenience its easy to see the separation, the whole business approach towards their relationship, and even more so since they don't have children.
This isn't so far-fetched as this strikes more of a personal chord with me persay having seen this play out in front of me with relatives such as this so its not that absurd that she would want something more, someone more, something that will actually have her feeling happy, being happy, and waking up the desire that she long long long lost and perhaps snuffed out during her strive and drive to get to the top and get the best.
Yooh Ah In's character Seon Jae is such a refreshing portrayal. They could have gone any way with his character but i feel they made the best way in making him sincere, blunt, honest, cute, adorable, naive and innocent, and passionate all in one. Yooh Ah In just breaks that intensity and I think this is the role i wanted to see him play ever since i first saw him. Ever since Sungkyunkwan Scandal I knew he had that power, that intensity to draw me in but i felt his previous roles were not tapping into his full potential. With this i get to see his full potential and then some and im laughing, crying, shock, and just amaze each and every single time.
I can't wait until next week as it seems things might get pushed even further especially after what happened in the 6th episode and like everyone said since her husband found out about "how close" they are, he might be on the creepy mode and maybe jealous mode as well but more so he won't let it ruin his golden egg. He doesn't love his wife but he is not ready to lose the one person who has been able to give rise in his position and some sort of semblance of power that he thinks he have. More so he is not going to lose Seon Jae who is his meal ticket into comfortable living, ego boosting, and having all his colleagues respect him. I just wish that Seon Jae realizes this because idk how far or how bat crazy her husband might turn towards him.
Plus his girlfriend Da Mi, i find she is annoying but so freaking adorable and cute and feel bad for her. Sure she doesn't want to listen or just want to ignore the guy is not that into you like you think he is, but she was the block, that shoulder of support for him for the longest and im glad that he does acknowledge that and doesn't just push her away but i hope he does eventually make her see that he only see her as a FRIEND. But then again what she did to the spoil brat might not be good for Hye Won if she comes to terms to what is going on between them.
Anyway sorry for the long post and i know i rambled in some parts but i just love...love love love love love this show and im going absolutely crazy waiting for the next episode.😆
