Yes, family is important, and the show doesn't try and say that family means nothing to Sanyukta. Family means a lot to her. If you give your life to your family, what becomes of your own life though? In the end, Sanyukta will have to live the life, whether she gets married or whether she becomes an engineer. Which path will give her the most happiness in? Engineering is her passion. Not just something she's doing to become rebeliious. The show is giving the right message.

A girl is equal to a guy..Talking about the show, Sanyukta is a modern and today's girl. She's career oriented as well as loves her family. Only if they could understand her more.
