No I hate him..That is why I said..that these singers are sidelined and Mr. Yo Yo is getting accolades..Does the guy even know anything about singing??🤢But just look at his popularity..😆😆..Its so irritating to see him in every function and award shows..

I was never much obsessed by Alka's voice but some of her songs were so lovely. <3 And few of my favorites- Richa Sharma, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Udit Narayan and Kavita Krishnamurthy... I so love their voices. <33

dont like Alka's voice, except for the way she sang tu muskura for yuvraaj, she was really good there👏

Udit, Kavita, Sadhna, suppper voices and class songs⭐️
more than Arijit era - (I love this guy's voice, he can sing a raabta, laal ishq, phir le aaya dil, tum hi ho, uska hi banaa...in such an effortless manner...was dua also sung by him - from shanghai?, I thot it was vishal...and the fact that he is not just another vocalist without any training, he was terrific in coke studio stint for season 3👏)
what bothers me is the Sunidhi-Shreya domination...Shreya's voice is not almost passing off as screechy it does not have that flawless quality anymore and Sunidhi is the versatile one, but not with any great scope in romantic songs, she is typecast for racy numbers and probably never get rid of that tag -
we have some great new voices like Shalmali (who again runs the risk of going typecast, after a terrific pareshaan - her voice is like an amazing combination of shreya and sunidhi), aditi paul, chinmay, harshdeep kaur, shaktishree, jonita gandhi - who need to get some much needed exposure...

bollywood music gone backward to the stone era :D ...RIP ... gone are the days when we use to hear melodious voices like Udit Naryan and Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik ...today best singers are autotuning softwares ..like melodyine and antreas which can make people like atif aslam mohit chauan and for dat matter honey singh sing :D... miss the golden time of 90's till mid 2000 ...would love to share some of all time ffvrt songs of last decade ...

Sukhwinder Singh is another one who sings very few songs. Last song of his was Banjara from ETT. No one can sing like him, his range is terrific!
I miss Sonu and Shaan. Sonu's Deewana is still my favourite after all these years. What a voice he has and what lovely songs they were, muah!

It was good while it lasted. I have a HUUUGE collection of Alka Yagnik songs. For me, she will ALWAYS be my favorite singer. But would I prefer listening to her songs now? NO. Why?
1. Her voice has become very shrilly now.
2. She cannot sing the modern songs very well - her style of singing is outdated from today's Bollywood standards,
3. People need a change with fresh ideas.
It was good while it lasted. These singers minted money left and right. They garnered public attention that worked to their advantage. And they did what it took to help them reach to the peak of their careers.
However, it's now time for the fresh lot. Arijit Singh leads the lot now, and that is the ultimate fact. 😊

I LOVE Udit and Alka, I wish they still sang duets. But i agree with the above member when they say that the 90s singers can't sing today's songs. But hey they've recorded hundreds of songs over more than a decade and we can always go back to them to listen.

There's different music, and therefore different singers nowadays to suit those songs and I think they're apt, most of the time.

I think the other way round singing style of today is just a chaye walaa type just screaming and nothing else any one can sing it with the help of computer softwares the singer ankit tiwari fame sunraha hai na tu was not able to sing his own song on live stage video is on youtube, but these new singer will never ever be able to sing songs of classic greats like Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu and the most toughest singer of all time Sonu Nigam :) and keep in mind they had no facility of recording technology which current lot have one just speak on the mike his voice can be proccesed to the tune by softwares and ya (so called outdated style of singing was the orginal music) arijit singh most of the time copy atif aslam bakra style the only arjit song i liked is recent suno na sangemarmar ke yeh minarien
