More rituals of Benazir's marriage are in progress. Jodha gifts Benazir a portrait of Krishna dancing over Kaliya,the poisonous snake. This scene signified how Lord Krishna had protected his worshipers from the poison in the River Yamuna being spread due to Kaliya.An indirect way incorporated by Jodha of telling Benazir,that good shall always win over evil. So,her time was ticking.
Meanwhile,Abul Maali is being tortured in the jail,so that he confesses to his crimes.As he begs for water,Atga tells him that unless and until he confesses,he should not expect mercy. In between all this,Abul gets hold of a knife somehow.
Cut to,Jalal is in his chamber looking into the city of Agra through his jharokha. Hamida comes to see him and finds her son sulking as he looked beyond the jharokha. He cordially greets his mother. The pain in his eyes didn't go unnoticed,as she tries asking him the matter,Jalal shoves the topic away. When she stresses again,he opens upto her.
He says to her that despite everything he has achieved,he feels defeated. Despite all the admiration he receives from his subjects,all the love he receives from his begums,all the affection he receives from his family,he feels lonely. And this saddened him.
Hamida tells him that this was because the amount of power and success he had achieved,can only be handled by him. A winner can be only one. And that is why there can be only one emperor. There can be only one man seated at the throne. Despite all the people around him,he cannot afford to completely trust anyone of them. And that is why he feels the pinch in his heart,because many a times his own people have turned their backs on him.That's why his heart aches.
With dejected eyes,Jalal assures Hamida(or moreover himself) that he would feel the ache,only if he had a heart. But he does not,does he? Hamida replies by saying that was only because he hasn't found anyone who has awakened his heart.Or maybe he hasn't realized it that he has found that special someone,yet.
She only hoped that he finds her soon. Someone who takes care of him as a husband and not just an emperor. Because the emperor is loved by many,but what he needs is being cared for as a husband.
(this was a very touching scene. <3)
As she leaves,Jalal is left to his thoughts as he looks out again. With the Akdha bgm,Jodha is shown now,who is also looking outside her jharokha.
Cut to,another soul talk scene is shown. Jalal tells to Jodha that this particular night was very significant since it was probably the last night they spent apart.
Back into normalcy,Shareef gets news that Ben has plans of killing Jalal before the wedding ceremony. He sends a letter to Jodha. As she arrives,he informs her of the same.
Cut to,Zakira tells Benazir that the the box of antidote had returned to her chamber. Benazir still thinks Jodha was behind this. They discuss about Jalal's murder again.
Precap : Jalal has worn his sehera and its the time for nikah. Jodha says to him that she can't possibly watch her husband die in front of her eyes. WIth this,she pulls a bowl from his hand and adds on "this is probably the last time i breathe,but I have to do this" and she then drinks the content in one go. As she faints almost immediately,Jalal is in shock and he panics.
