we know that at the last moment we need to take the name of god
so we will keep engaging ourself in all worldy pleasures and when time comes we can easily say his name and escape to heaven
thats quite impossible
who knows during the last moments
our tongue may not utter
our mind may think of the family
we may be depressed
or we may be in sleep
our health may not co operate
there are various hinderences one may face
thats why maha periyava the kanchi shankaracharya said that
at the last moment if you need to say the lord's name
you should keep practising it daily
you may think of saying that name before death but what if it doesnt strike in your mind
you have to keep uttering it so that it gets registered in sub consious mind
even if you are in sleep you will be uttering his name
you will get used to it and by default you will be saying it
in work or in sleep or during taking food
keep him always in his mind
its his responsiblity to take you to his world
