Amazing episode once againYes, it was and I really like how Waseem depicts the abuse in this show especially of Anjali. Just Niranjan looking menacing with his image in the mirror, fear on Anjali's face and then the closing and locking of that door.

Ashta has come as a "curse" for the Agnihotri family, funny thing is that daddy himself chose her for shlokieYes, Niranjan is beginning to lose control and others have started noticing it. The other day he screamed at Varad. Previously, he was never shown doing that. It was always the subtle put down of Varad the way it was shown in the beginning. Shlok was praising Varad about the publication of his article and Niranjan interrupted to praise Shlok about the award he received for some article. Previously, Anjali was able to hide her marks with makeup. Today, a mark ended up showing on her face. So Niranjan is getting careless the more he is getting disturbed at things not going his way. Astha is definitely the catalyst here.

Usually, the fall in any evil person's is due to his actions. They bring in their own downfall and that's what Niranjan has done by bringing in Astha to his family.

The episode starts with anjali and neeranjan talking in their room, NA asks her if she invited the kirloskars and anjali says she didnt as she thought inviting them could b bad for his pure angel image, his dangerous tune is played on the backround anouncing neeranjan is disturbed, very..that his wife dared to think for him and take decisions..takes a look in the mirror, studies his refelection like having a silent disscusion with his alter ego and tells anjali she should close the door.Poor woman thought she could help him if the kirloskars werent there, but neeranjan thinks that their absence might raise questions between the guests, and he was right as we later see in the party..

Also Niranjan told Anjali that he never forgets any slight. Avdhoot bruised his ego by refusing to sign the land deal and then throwing the papers at him (figuratively) while breaking Astha's engagement to Shlok. So Niranjan is determined to bring down Avdhoot. Questions from the guests was the secondary issue. He wanted a public humiliation of Avdhoot along with the parting gift of Astha breaking up her relationship with her parents. Astha's and Anjali's actions ruined his special birthday celebrations.

Anjali accepts the punishment, she walks to the door like brain washed and encounters sojal, this woman takes the liberty of attenting the party with open hair, thing that is against anajali's rule book, but anjali is too much affected by what she knows it will follow after closed doors.

Neeranjan mistakens anjali again with a man and beats her , this time leaving traces behind, a bruise on her left cheek,

Sojal's open hair is a mild thing at the moment for Anjali. Also, Astha is keeping her hair open. Sojal is also beginning to rebel, so she is starting to do the same. I don't know if Anjali is really brainwashed. She is very mechanical and she still tears up in private. There are other reasons that are keeping Anjali so bound to Niranjan.

At the party Abhay apears too, without a wife..wonder what happened to jyothi after she was taken to the doctor? why isnt anyone from her familly asking about her whearabouts? When has anybody ever asked about Jyoti's whereabouts. Anjali cannot do anything and Shlok/Varad acts as deliberate ostrich so that they can live in their illusionary world that everything is alright with Jyoti. Except for Shlok's wedding, Jyoti has missed all the important functions in Agnihotri household - Shlok's award ceremony, her parents' wedding anniversary and now Niranjan's birthday.

Anjali comes down and talks with sojal, the latter notices the bruise..it must have been a grave one if she couldnt cover it with the makeup..abhay listens to this and smiles when he hears anjali lying that she bumped into a door..being an abusing man himself he knows NA has hit her..so he knows NA s true nature but still plays with his favorite sons life, wife ashta..hmm, he has guts.. Abhay is a sadist and so it was one abuser recognizing the other abuser. That's why Sulbha (his aunt) was able to think of that stick to get Jyoti back to Abhay's home. Abhay is a crude version of Niranjan and Astha has humiliated him. So he is going after her. I actually want him to go after Astha as that is the only way, Shlok will go after Abhay and learn some important truths and hopefully Jyoti will be free (if it is not too late).

At the kirloskars home, ashta is setting the table, it seems that she has taken the habit from living with the agnihotris, her body is there but her heart is somewhere else..maybe thinking abt one handsome angry young man who turned her life upside down..her dad sees her lost and her mother suggests for her to call anjali to let her know shes here, neeranjan may understand but anjali wont..kalindi still fears anjali, and some how shes right as neeranjan uses anjali as the bad "guy' and did send her to their house to get his second gift.

I like the scene here as Astha was very conflicted and depressed. I liked how Avdhoot was comforting her. The closeness between the father and daughter is depicted very beautifully. Kalindi will continue to remain blind unless Avdhoot tells her everything about his deal making with Niranjan.

Back at the party, a guest couple is singing praises to neeranjan saying he is the kindest and the greatest man alive...he is very pleased and fakes a blush leaving his head down with a smile..really this man should win an Oscar,,he is just too good.

His favorite baccha comes to wish him, dressed in the same brown shirt whisch he wore in the jungle, and hugs him ( uhh, i wouldnt do that man, he wore that shirt for two days)

😆Well, baccha would have had the time to take the shower, trim his beard and change the shirt if Astha had not taken priority over baba. He was too busy scaring poor Suresh to change into new clothes. Baba was happy that baccha showed up straight from the jungle even without taking the shower because of his birthday. He would have thrown another tantrum if he had realized that baccha had made a detour before coming to his birthday.

Shlok has a sorry expression..he has failed his daddy again and most important ashta still thinks he lied and he didnt bring her with him..once again his baba was humilliated by ashta and she wasnt even aware of that. I liked Shlokie's expressions here. He actually let Astha walk away because of his remorse and he was feeling guilty because Niranjan took a backseat this time for him.

The same couple from earlier is now taunting neeranjan coz his bahu ran away to her parents..ooopsie daisy dadddy is loosing admireres, he lost the 1th spot in shlokies prorities list to Ashta..too many things in one day..he orders anjali with a simple look to do the dirty look since he is too preocupied to lick his wounds and anjali goes to the kirsloskars. Well, it is always Anjali who does his dirty work regardless of his preoccupation.

Pouring a river of water from a little vessel in ashtas hand she tries to make her swear she will chose her sasurals instead of her parents forever..everyone stares byt says Nada towards the end of the" river" i see a determinated look on ashta and i feel better..i know shell take the right decison.. That pouring of river or Anjali coming in the house without anybody opening the door for her was pure soap style melodrama. But Anjali has pushed Astha to take a step which she was still hesitant to take. So Niranjan sending Anjali to Astha's house will backfire.

Overall the episode was very good with great performance from manish, geetanjali and shrenu. Yes to what you wrote. I also liked Avinash's expression when Niranjan hugged Shlok and expressions of Sachin (Vinayak) when he heard Anjali making excuses for her bruises.

Today, this poem by Maya Angelou for Anjali and Astha. Anjali is the caged bird and Astha is the free bird. I meant to post this poem in one of those episodes where they showed struggles of Anjali, Astha and Jyoti. However, I think of Anjali as more of a caged bird because she is wants to be free, but seems to be a prisoner of Niranjan for so many reasons - some of them yet undisclosed.Very good choice of a poem, it suits anjali. I felt for her yday, she longs for freeddom thats y she took the decision by herself.

In last two episodes, they are showing Anjali doing bidding of Niranjan but there is a suppressed rebellion in her. In yesterday's episode, she kicked out her parents from the old home, but there was anger in her eyes and she did show some defiance to Niranjan. The second gift is either breaking of Astha's ties with her parents or Shlok.

Niranjan being a shrewd character knows that Astha is attached to her parents and have principles. So surely he cannot be expecting that Astha would easily break up contacts with her parents especially at this time when her father is all broken. So was he expecting Kirloskars to come to the party and wanted to have a public breakdown of Astha with Shlok where Astha is shown to walk out of Shlok's life, making it a fault of a mercurial daughter of a corrupt man. Whatever his gift is supposed to be, it seems that Anjali went against his wishes of making a public spectacle. So Kirloskars were not invited.But why would he want ashta out of shlokies life? bcoz he is jelous he is paying her more attention than him? thats y he was so surprised when shlok said in the precap that he hates her? so neeranjan infact was rejoicing deep inside😆

Niranjan who had seemed so happy at Anjali doing his bidding decided to punish her even more viciously than making her walk bare foot. It was poignant to see fearful Anjali walking to the door to close it so that Niranjan can beat her up. Her suffering remains private though where she rebuffs any inquiry - false (Sojal) or genuine (Vinayak). So Anjali is indeed a caged bird whose wings have been clipped so badly. What is keeping her so tied to Niranjan? Her pride, sick attachment (as in stockholm syndrome), financial dependence, fear of losing whatever relationship she has with her kids, or some sort of atonement for giving in to this way of life?I guess its all these reasons together..or shes punishing herself for not being strong enough to not bow dfown to his manipulations..

Vinayak of course was looking sarcastic at Anjali attempts to hide her wounds that were not being hidden even by thick makeup. But it seems that Niranjan is getting careless as he is getting fearful of losing control in his house. That's why even the obtuse Sojal has started observing things. Abhay was smiling knowingly at Anjali's excuse of knocking into the door. A bully recognizing another bully and is that why Niranjan tolerates Sulbha and Abhay?This can b true. Neeranjan ideed was getting careless, it seems that his weak point in which his brain doesnt work properly is extreme anger..thats y he calms himself every time he manipulates people or situations or is making plans.

Abhay of course has figured out the insecurities of Sojal and is taking full advantage of it. The more there is a distance between Sojal and Varad, the more advantage Abhay is bound to take. Sojal has become too desperate for some importance, as even her own mother is so obviously uncaring about her. So she is buying into whatever false dreams Abhay is selling her. Yes to all here.

Coming back to Anjali, Niranjan was angry at Astha's absence from his birthday especially as it painted him in a bad light. Shlok for a change was looking defeated as he knew that it was his fault that Astha walked out of his life. There was a difference shown between Shlok and Niranjan today. Niranjan would have never let Anjali walk out of his life. But Shlok was feeling guilty for the first time in his life and hence he did not stop Astha from walking out on him though he tried to persuade her to stay. Shlok also did not use any emotional angle to stop Astha. He knows that Astha thinks highly of Niranjan and would have agreed to come back to his house with him if he had told her about his father's birthday. But he did not do so. So Shlok may be manipulative and selfish, but there remains seeds of goodness inside him. Shlok is very different from his adad, hecould have made ashta come back somehow but i guess he respected her decision.

Anjali at Niranjan's bidding went to Astha's house, but she then does not know what has happened between Shlok and Astha. She pushed Astha to the maximum, who actually was ready to go back because she was feeling indebted to Niranjan for saving Avdhoot. But Anjali in her zeal has pushed Astha to take an action that is going to fire back on her.

Astha was going to tell her parents the truth, but she was hesitant as she did not want to break their illusions. She also did not want to tell them that she had walked out on her marriage. But is Anjali going to provide a way out for Astha where she does not have to break their illusions, but can still stay with them. Kalindi is now so much feeling indebted to Niranjan that she was not paying any attention to Astha's reluctance to call back home or that Shlok did not drop Astha or that their "caring" son-in-law did not bother to check up on them. So she was pushing Astha to call Anjali so that no trouble is created for her. Then she was shocked into silence by Anjali's demands. Interestingly, it was only Avdhoot who was beginning to show some signs of anger after the initial shock. So he probably will be supporting Astha in her stand to walk out of Agnihotri household. Hope he does support if he doesnt it will a huge dissapointmen, way bigger than forgetting abt his values. he was pictured as a great father, he must b kept this way.

Today besides the acting of main players, the direction was again quite good especially the subtle scene of Anjali closing the door to their room so that Niranjan could abuse her. Or Vinayak's expressions of sarcasm or look of loss on Shlok's face, who was not showing his usual arrogance or confidence, or Astha's conflict where she was not sure how to respond to her parents. I also liked the dining room scene in Kirlosker house especially the bonding scene between the father and daughter where both are trying to comfort each other.Yes, the direction was great as well as the cast.

@myra ok i reserved thinking i will get a song too😳.lovely post my favourite one is pouring river from little vessel😆 ...I hope NA pays for his every misdeed! and his bacha he is slowly turning back from shlok, the jungle guy to shlok agnihotri as soon as he entered house. one thing i noticed was him looking hopefully after his mom with a sheepish expression. So, somewhere baby bear is hoping that mama bear will get his honey for him...all the man supremacy talk and then these guys are totally dependant on anjali... i am eagerly waiitng for mon, today was very goo epi but main event will unfold on mon. why i am getting the feeling that somehow getting his bacha back under his total control and knowing about his and aastha's true relation is ''the gift'' NA wanted. he will be one happy guy to know that family ''traditions'' are safe.

the one highlighted in blue....thats what I felt when I saw Shloke's watching Anjali leaving.Either baby bear wants his mamma to bring his honey pot back to him or he wants mama to see to it that Astha returns so he can save his face in front of his father. These guys are totally depend on Anjali and she is the most important person in this family.

The red part...Yesterday Anjali's actions were leaving me a bit confused. But what you have written now makes me understand why she was behaving in that manner. She pushed all of Astha's buttons...she knows Astha and she went for the kill. I was thinking whether she wants Astha to take a stand but now what you have written matches with Neeranjan wanting to know from Astha regarding what is going on between her and Shloke.
