He went back to his office , finished his pending works * he called Adi and ordered him to brought d quotation file of XYZ Co. Then he left for home in d eve lil early coz Dev was going for his HM in d eve. All were busy in their respective works in their rooms .

He changed and came to meet Geet and find her busy in net * he handed her d file and she thanked him .

Geet: coffee peeoge , i was waiting for u ?

Maan: of course , thanks .

Geet beamed and got up to make for both * she was in a very happy mood * they took their coffee together and Maan asked about her wounds * they came down to bid bye Dev and Meera * Annie went to see off Dev and Meera at Airport * Dadima and YSK got busy in their works and Maan and Geet came to d room .

Maan: Geet it's time to change ur bandages , come.

Geet: hmmm , aati hu .

He changed her bandages and today he felt that today she was very comfortable as compare to last day. They came down for diner and spent some time with Dadima , YSK and Annie.

YSK: Maan , in Dev absence u have to take care of his dept and d site visit also .

Maan: it's OK Dad , i'll do that , don't worry.

Dadima: Geet beta aapki leaves kab tak hei ?

Geet: only 4 days Dadima , Sunday tak , Mon se jana hei .

YSK: I hope tab tak kaffi araam lag jayega .

Geet: Ji Dad , I'm much better now.

Maan: Geet day after TM u have to go for check up , Rano aunty reminded me.

Geet: OK.

After chatting for an hour all went back to their respective rooms and Maan and Geet got busy in their works * Geet was calculating and checking all d bills * she made a rough table of d account and d total was in millions * she was shocked coz from last many months this thing was happening and Dev and Maan overlooked that.

Geet: Maan checked these 2 bills please.

Maan calculate d bills vertically and said that d bill is right * then Geet asked him about to checked d quotation and that time he got shocked because according to quotation d bill was wrong * not only wrong but Horizontally total was also wrong like this was done deliberately . He looked at her shocked .

Maan: this is unbelievable , we r dealing with this Co from many years and we never find this type of Froude * he got angry and starting accusing Dev for his negligence because he is d in-charge of finance dept of KC and it was his duty to check d bills properly * in this case they can't take any legal steps because these were d hidden sale/purchase bills of d Co.

Maan: Geet ye tumne pahale ku nahi bataya? Ab keha rahi ho jab Dev chala gaya.

Geet: Maan usse kya hota , lose to ho gaya aur galti to aapki bhi hei * aapne bills sigh kerne se pahale check ku nahi kiye? U r d last signatory * aur maine bill complete check nahi kiye thy , file aapne aaj di hei.

Maan became tense and looked at her and asked: how many bills r wrong and d amount ?

Geet: it's is happening from last 6-7 months * some bills of starting r correct but after that all have flaws * Maan how much Raw-materials u purchased from this Co?

Maan: Maximum steel for d construction come from this Co * means in NCR.

Geet: hmmm ,,, Do one thing place a heavy order of big amount at all sites and don't pay any bill making any excuse coz they don't want to lose this fat fish of benefits and easily accepted this.

Maan: Geet they r Froude and gave us a big lose and i'll stop all dealings with them breaking this contract and first of all i want clarification from Dev * what d hell he was doing in these months ,,, romancing and brooding? Careless person * i'll call him back from HM.

Geet : Maan please don't get angry and let them enjoy for few days * u could say when he came back .

Maan: why r u protecting him ? why r u not seeing d lose and his mistake ?

Geet: he is ur younger bro ,,,, ho gai galti aur please tum kuch matt kahana , Dad ko handle kerne do * Maan he is married now and if u scold him in ur anger he could feel bad because it reduced his respect in front of his wife , please Dad per chod do aur rahi baat lose ki to hum cover ker sakte hei .

Maan: Geet don't protect him everytime ,,,, uski wajah se mujh per bhi sawal utth raha hei ,,, i trusted him and signed all d bills.

Geet : Maan i'm not protecting him , ,, I'm protecting a relation ... A relation of two brothers ,, aap samajhte nahi hei , shaadi se pahale baat aur thi ab aur ,, mai nahi chahati aap directly Dev se kuch kahen... please.

Maan: Geet he did mistakes and he would face d wroth * this thing happened all because of his carelessness * I'm calling him back.

Geet: Maan, please app meri itni si baat nahi maan sakte? Uske aane ke baad keha dena * abhi aap gusse mei hei aur kuch bhi bol denge usse.

Maan: accha , mera naraz hona galat hei to mai tumhari baat bhi ku maanu? Tum bhi to galat ko protect ker rahi ho ?

Geet: Maan, mai maanti hu dev ne galti ki hei lekin fir bhi ,, please meri baat maan lo . Please Maan.

Maan thought for a few min and looked at her deeply in a meaningful manner.

Maan: theek hei , agar tum chahati ho ki mei ye baat maanu to tumhe bhi meri ek condition manni hogi ,, bolo manjoor?

Geet : Agar aap Dev ko wapas na bulae aur kuch na kahen to mei aapki condition manungi.

Maan: OK, nahi kahunga ,, mere room mei shift ho jao hamesha ke liye.

Geet looked at him shocked and Maan shrugged his shoulders in reply.

Maan: soch lo Geet , ya to Dev yahan hoga kal ya fir tum Humare room mei.

Geet: Maan , u r blackmailing me , ye galat hei .

Maan with a smirk: tum bhi to galat ko protect ker rahi ho .

Geet: i'm protecting relations .

Maan: i'm protecting our relation.

Geet: this room gave me shelter when u threw me out in a chiily weather , how could i leave my shelter * i love this room like u love ur room .

Maan: ye room hamesha tumhara hi rahega Geet * agar relations ke liye tum Dev ki galti ko importance nahi de rahi to meri galti ke liye mujhe saza ku ? Agar Dev se mere relation ka khayal hei to tumhare aur mere relation ka kya Geet ? Decision tum per hei Geet ,,, tum bhi mujhse kuch maang rahi ho ,, aur mai bhi tumse kuch maang reha hu . Kal tak ka time hei tumhare paas , eve mei hum Dad aur Dadima se baat karenge.

He kept d files in Geet lap and slept at his side leaving Geet in d pool of thoughts.
