Hypocrites on Abhishek Bachchan

Everyone loves to rank their favorite actresses as #1 because they have this or that 100 cr grosser. Fans love to give their faves credit for an films success but I see when it comes to Abhishek people are hypocrites.

Abhishek was always a a flop actor with only guru and Bunty & Babli being his solo hits Giving him credit is like giving credit to ppl like tusshar kapoor,shreyas talpade etc

Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra are the lead protagonists of Dhoom 3.
Aamir Khan costars as the primary antagonist.
The film also features Katrina Kaif and Jackie Shroff in extended cameos.

Giving heroines credit but not Abhishek when he is a big part of a successful film arises from the mentality that male actors need to bring in the crowds to watch the film whereas actresses are mostly showpieces or a beautiful prop who can celebrate being part of a success. So by that logic Abhishek is good for nothing.

But what I think is, Abhishek is a talented actor who has proved his mettle a lot of times. It would be better if he stays away from multi starrers for a while.

Wholly agree with you here. He's been in all the movies, and he deserves the credit to say he's an integral part of the Dhoom series. You can always argue, "oh well people watch the movie for the villains", "they watched it for Katrina's dance", "they watched it for Aamir because he can act etc"...but it doesn't change the fact that Abhishek (and Uday Chopra) play an essential part to the Dhoom series. If they weren't, then they wouldn't have been in all three films now. Simple as that.

Why this thing is being debated, and to such a degree is mind-boggling to me. Is this just a case of people not wanting to take credit away from Aamir Khan for his 100 crore club thing?

Lets be honest here if there was no Aamir and Hrithik in the movies of Dhoom do you really think so many people will watch the movie with Abhishek only in it. I won't, no offence to Abhishek! Abhishek is just not a super start never was. But sure he has credit for Dhoom, all actors should get credits also second lead actors!
