They were All time record opening as well, movies open because of star power Yes I admit, a lot do as with dhoom franchise AS WELL.

So to say put Saif instead of Aamir, the opening will be same is just not right IMO

I am not saying Aamir had no hand in it. Definitely he is involved but the bigger reason is Dhoom franchise

3 Idiots and Ghajini had very catchy trailers and music and even opened to great reviews. 3 Idiots, especially, had great collections because of WOM.

Bold: I don't think it's wrong. It would still have created records but then it's just what I think..

Dhoom3 is a combined effort . If a movie is bad , wht ever huge franchise it belongs to it gets rejected. Dhoom3 had mixed reviews online but still public is going . A movie just run on one name , the people who watched the movie were so much praising katrinas kamili n amirs acting. I couldnt get rid of tu hi junoon n tu hi karar for so many days from my head. Movie is doing well coz its good movie . Even stars swear by this . A franchise , star value can just give opening or good weekend but real test starts from Monday. And dhoom 3 has broken even a non holiday working day record. I guess atlest now some people shpuld give creadit to the pepple who have worked there ass of for this movie .

Dhoom franchise is not that big or else every sequel in any industry would rake money.

Let's take for eg all those HW sequels if the 1st part is big then not necessary the sequel would make more money.

So to more than the franchise Aamir and Katrina are bigger factor in getting the record.

Ghajni and 3 idiots were record breaking, they were the movies that started the 100 crore and 200 crore club thanks to Aamir.

So saying D3 is working because of the Dhoom franchise is just plain wrong.

You cannot just put someone, anyone and expect 36 crores on the opening day. 😆 Also there's a good reason why aamir was offered the film in the first place.

ya let YRF take vivek oberoi or jimmy shergill in dhoom 4 as the bad guy and let's see how much opening it gets ...[no offence to their fans..just talking about star power here] if it's such a big franchise then it should do 100 crore in 3 days with these guys too..isn't it?🤔

not a aamir fan...appreciate his acting though...but give credit where due...yes dhoom is a hit franchise but Aamir is the biggest reason why film is doing well...and the film belonged to him! he was there in every frame literally!
