I'm pretty sure that will turn out to be the case. He has that air of being untouched by love around him. Wonder whats the deal with that. One thing that struck me from his past was when Paakhi was touring the home n asked for his mother's pics, Mahji replied she is no more. I was like so what? From the looks of it, even his father is no more, but they had pics of him. Wonder if that's going to come into play sometime in the future too. He looks disconnected from everyone, he even speaks of his son very clinically I feel. I;m sure he loves him but he said that Ayaan is very difficult to handle and has specific likes n dislikes and does not accept anyone easily. Sounds like a junior version of himself and here I'm hoping Paakhi will bridge the gap between the two if any.
I think its the lack of any motherly figure in his life, that he allows Mahji to run the house with a free hand, but mind you he seems not to be attached to her either. Even with all the influnece he'sunder of Lavanya, he does not seem to be overtly affectionate of her either. The very reason for their bond is I feel bcoz he does not have anyone else in his life to look to for advise and she unfortunately does not have children of her own, to detach herself from him. She mothers him and does not even allow Girish to tell him anything differently from what she feels. As observed in the scene where Girish was asking them to be frank with Paakhi. I was keen on knowing Anshuman's reactions to that, but Lavanya sidetracked him again. Its really unhealthy for the both of them, the influence she has on him, which again only Paakhi can be expected to break. As for Lavanya, her husband is too adoring n tolerant of her ways, so I have no hopes for her changing at all, unless n until she sees Anshuman in misery that is.
