Usually the female characters in the TV world are all cut from the same cloth with just minor differences between them. In the Era where every female lead is helpless against her in-laws with glycerin and lack of logic as her constant companions, pakhi is breath of fresh air and a true and accurate reflection of the modern woman.

She is modern yet traditional. She is well versed in the modern ways of the World yet is connected to her roots. Despite living in a conservative family in the villages, she has a progressive and dynamic outlook which is not caught up in the shackles of ancient traditions but is flying with the modern thinking

Right from the first episode she has shown so much strength and character that it's safe to say that as of now she is the best leads the small screen has seen in a long time.

Whether it was clarifying her doubts with ansh or accepting his past without any prejudices. Whether it was fearlessly answering that lady's questions or facing lavanya with a smile. She has always been a calm yet sharp person and has quashed ansh's pre-conceived notions about her

Also, other thing that is worth applauding the CVS is the difference they have kept between other bahu betis and pakhi even in the smallest of things
Where others despite living in cities are shown illiterate sometimes, she is educated deapite being from a village
Where others wear heavy makeup, jewellery and saris throughout the day and night as well, she dresses simply during the day and is not shy to wear a nightgown at night
Where the popular trend Is to affix a JI at the end of the male lead's name, she is not afraid to call him by his given name without any melodrama

There are various examples that can be given whether it's about the small things or her thinking or behaviour, they all prove one thing that is the CVS have done a comendable job with pakhi and I hope they maintain this freshness and uniqueness in her later as well and not turn her into another weeping bahu

Great Post Sur.
Hello my name is Dolly and I completely agree with you that Paakhi is a breath of fresh air in her portrayal of a "Bahu".

Her handling of her husband and a disagreeable Sis-in-law is done with sweet subtlety.

I hope the CV's keep her character intact and show a progressive but respecting of her traditions kind of woman.

Well said ..Pakhi's character is refreshing and really the one which I have been looking forward to from so many years... She was working when she was at her home...She is not the one to cry n crib... Most importantly she is not preachy... She understands different POVs and more importantly respect them while respecting her owns too... She is not OTT or bubbly... yet she is cheerful... you can see she is optimist and positive... I hope they dont tamper with her characterisation.. coz I m just loving it the way she is being portrayed now...

hi dolly and thank u for liking the post. It all depends on the cvs now and how forsighted they are coz it will easier for them to turn pakhi into another typical wife ice their main storyline ends but it would be really difficult to maintain her character

Very well said.
I really hope they maintain her character as is and do not fall for the TRP game and start changing storylines and characterizations and turn her into another "typical Indian serial bahu"

The show needs improvement IMHO, but Pakhi sure is an interesting character. All the points that you have made - agreed. Her naivety-cum-innocence, her faith in her marriage and she does her so-called bahu's duties but haq se. She was happy operating the safe. She asked Anshuman to eat ghar ka khana and thoada sharma ke, thoda mischievously asked 'Hum aaapke hain kaun?"

At first glance, she looks another Tulsi-Parvati, but thank God, she isn't. Right now, her character is the only thing that makes the show interesting for me.

But, I am curious how the story is going to proceed. Right now, I am not seeing anything that I haven't seen before.
