!This is one story you would not like to miss. The dance reality show in its sixth season airing on Star Plus (Frames) has somehow lacked luster and appeal this time around.
Some say the jodis are not good enough and the balance is unstable with some very popular names on one side and some anonymous ones at the other (comparatively).
What was meant to be a dancing extravaganza sprinkled with the immortal touch of romance, has not managed to explode on the small screen and make viewers go bananas. One doesn't really run to grab the remote to tune intoNach.
Anyways, with the season being in its middle stage, the creatives contemplated on infusing a new lease of life by bringing wild card entries.
Now the media has been extensively writing about Sara Khan and her beau Paras Chhabra making an entry in the show as the wild card. But hold on, there's a twist in the tail.
Listen from our source from the set: "There was a wild card round. Ripudaman and Shivangi got eliminated from the show, only to return. Yes, the five jodis that battled in the wild card round were Yash-Amrapali, Raju-Shikha, Ripu-Shivangi, Bruna-Omar and Sara-Paras. In a heated contest, to everyone's surprise, Sara-Paras got eliminated. The jodis who made through were Bruna-Omar and Ripu-Shivangi. So they make it to the top 8 jodis of the season.
"Quite a twist, we must say!!!
The top 8 jodis are Gurmeet-Debina, Rithvik-Asha, Raqesh- Ridhi, Kiku- Priyanka, Ripu-Shivangi, Bruna-Omar, Kanika-Ankur and Vinod-Raksha.
When we spoke about the unfortunate elimination with Paras he said, "We did well with whatever minimal time we had to rehearse. I and Sara had a wonderful time. Yes, we did not make it to the regular format of the show, which is disappointing, but yet we are happy that we got a good response from the judges. I am sure viewers will love our performance.
"So what could have been the reason of the exit? "See, we can only focus on work, rest we can't really do much. I think it was the contest for the top 8 spot and it was obvious that jodis which have put in more effort and had more experience than us in the format went through. All in all, I and Sara had a great time. We are happy with the experience.

Jay Bhanusali and Mahhi Vij came in to cheer for Gurmeet-Debina. While four television actors and very good friends Abhaas Mehta, Karan Godwani, Shaleen Bhanot and Akshay Dogra supported Raqesh-Ridhi. Mohit Sehgal was also set to join the above boy gang but he opted out at the last minute owing to some personal reasons.
We spoke to Mahhi about her appearance and she said, "Yes, we went toNach Baliyeto support Gurmeet and Debina. I think they are a deserving couple and very good friends of me and Jay. Till now they have been very consistent in the show and are performing well with each passing week. So my and Jay's good wishes are always with them.
"Karan Goddwani too confirmed that he and the boy gang cheered up Raqesh-Ridhi.
