Hi everybody!
Im obsessed! Like seriously!
After Aasmanon Pay Likha, i have started liking Sajjal Ali alot and i was searching for her other shows and that is when i came across 'Gohar-e-Nayab'
This show started back in june and i never noticed it because it airs on Aplus. Like everybody else, i am also biased towards channels. But Aplus is a very good channel we just don't watch it because we have this perception that only Hum Tv, GEO, and ARY have good shows (which is not true at all)
Anyways getting back to topic, so i was searching for shows and i read the summary of Gohar-e- Nayab somewhere and I liked it and thought i should give it a try..
I had seen the OST before as someone had shared it but it didn't appeal to me at all. I was like this is so NOT my kind of show. But when i started watching the show, i saw BLOODY 16 EPISODES IN ONE DAY! 😆😆 (You can imagine my obsession)
A stranger in a strange world, motherless and selfless Gori fails to find her space in this selfish world. Exploited in the guise of care and cheated in love, her chance marriage with handsome and well-to-do Sami turns out to be a plot for revenge. So here is my summary of the story: (may contain spoilers)
The show revolves around Gohar-e-Nayab aka Gohari (Sajjal Ali) who lives with her maamu and his family after her mother died. Obviously she is treated very badly by her Maami who always make her count her blessings and remind her what a huge ehsaan they had done by keeping her in the house. But Gohari is a care free outspoken girl. And thats what i loved about her! If someone says anything to her, she gives them ten times back (even to her maami). She isn't the typical mazloom type girl! The initial episodes made me laugh soo much! Okay, so Sajjal overacted in the initial episodes but i just loved her character! After the first episode, i was like Lord! Itni overacting.. But the story was so good that i was hooked.😆
Her father is alive but he is one selfish man who never cared for her daughter and didn't ask once about her in all these years.
So, It is the story of how Gohari gets cheated by people in her life. She ends up getting married to Sami (Ahsan Khan) who happens to be her cousin and she becomes the target of the revenge of Sami's mother. Thanks to what her father and his family did to Sami's family, she ends up in a hell hole!
The girl is only in search for a house and people she can call her own! The only person who truly cares about her are her Naani and Maamu!
A wonderful story and journey!
A must watch! Those who know me in this forum know my choice !

And yes, this show is based on some novel, don't remember the name though!
