Did RK overrract?

First things first, I am liking the episodes.
I never stopped watching MEIEJ but the last few weeks/months werent the best when it came to story and execution

Now coming to my point for the day, did RK over react when Mehul showed him the Rishbala/Madhu entry scene that he incidentally/surreptiously shot and suggested her name as new heroine. Him being pissed at Mehul because Madhu doesnt want to be a heroine made complete sense (and it was a treat to see angry RK again after sucha long long time) but him essentially implying that Mehul was asking him to use his wife as heroine to save his movie, was RK over reacting there??????
did Mehul really say something wrong? all he did was see Madhu's potential and suggest her as a new heroine and that simple observation managed to raise RK's heckles.
Does this mean that if and when Madhu does step in as his heroine for this particualar movie; inspite of never wanting to be a one, at the back of his mind, RK will maybe always feel that he failed at some level (sigh) and Madhubala had to step in to save his movie/career. Will this thought always prick him when situations might not be favorable.

RK himself did appear mesmerised by what he saw of Rishbala and he has seen potential but is yet to admit it. He was testing water in the precap I think to see what Madhubala's reaction will be. The idea has taken root in his mind though he may not necessarily approve it whole heartedly yet and his mind may never whole heartedly approve it.


PS: this is in no way to bash RK. Its nly a mere observation.

Well I guess it's a battle between the artist in him and the husband,on one hand he is the husband, he loves his wife, respects her, he didn't like MC to use her video records and suggest her as a heroine as if Rk is desperate to use his wife to solve his problem especially when he knows she doesn't want to become a heroine, but on the other hand the artist in him was mesmerised by the chemistry they created together on screen, he might firstly been absorbed seeing his love moments with his wife whom he loves so much but at the same time these moments apart from being their private moments, created magic and were extremly beautiful to the point the artist in him got also mesmerised.

So as a husband I don't think his reactions to MC were OTT but in tomorrow's precap it's the artist in him who is talking to Madhu about the magic she created on screen

I totally get what you are saying.

however I think there were three type of reactions here

one by the husband who rightly wanted to abide by his wife's wishes
another by an artist who saw the magic on screen
and third by a self made man who doesnt like to be at the short end. Who doesnt like the fact that he might have to take help of someone unwilling ( to be a heroine) as in Madhu ( not simply coz she is his wife but more so because she is) (he in all likelihood would have felt the same if it was someone else who was unwilling but maybe at a lesser intensity) but deep down realising that she is probably the best choice.
For Mehul, Madhu had become his first choice the moment he saw her through the screen and she remained so inspite of geting a decent heroine (atleast they all thought so at the time of auditions ). So for him it was never about RK using Madhu to solve his problem and yet that is how RK percieved it. Mehul wasnt asking him to use (sell) his biwi but that is probably how he would be feeling (keep feeling) deep down once Madhu steps in as heroine

the precap question is also him clearing his questions acc to me. He asks her if she would be a heroine if a superstar asks and she refuses. I dunno what her answer would be or whether they will complete the scene or leave her answer hanging, but if she does say yes, it would probably pinch the husband in him when she does become his heroine and yet warm the husband in him too seeing the love his wife has for him. on the contratry it would only pinch the Man that RK is by himself

Till now what was shown is that he was mesmerised by what he saw as an artist too ( as a husband he is always mesmerised😃), and the second clear thing is that he takes Madhu entering to the industry because of his duress as if he is kind of selling her.

The other options are just speculations because if we see at it deeply, Rk didn't really get to the bottom of it to know whether his wife can accept to act or not, she might have told him before that she doesn't want to be a heroine but it was always in a light , funny moment where they were joking, he came to know seriously that his wife refused to be a heroine from MC, when the latter told him that, so when he was first thinking, I guess he was especially stuck between his admiration to the magic created by madhu as an artist and his duty as a loving husband who should not use his wife for his selfish issues.

What you said about the precap actually is interesting, you made me see that maybe he is just trying to clear his questions and not kind of blackmailing her emotionaly as a husband to accept, and I guess you are right he will never force her as he loves her so much, so if she ever accepts to be a heroine at his request and if she ever becomes unhappy he will always feel guilty because he was the one who was the reason why she entered bollywood.

Anyway nothing of this speculations is sure yet, we might be wrong or right, only the upcoming episodes will say, but there is a huge fact which is we are really enjoying and excited for this track, all what we want is a good and logical execution because it has a great potential
