Remind me friends, was this show not suppose to be about how Jalal become Akbar and how Jodha helped him in this path.
To me it looks like the show is about Jalal already acting like Akbar and the show is about how he changes buddhu jiddi ghamandi Jodha to Queen Jodha.
Only in the beginning of the show Jalal was shown as wanting to capture Jodha because he thought she was a worthy possession (beauty and her hatred towards Jalal). He gave RB no choice other than the Allison with him to turn into a relationship. So, I gave Jodha full credit to her being mad at that prospect. Early days he also went on to mistreat but it was never without any good reason.
Jodha made sure that his anger was justified:
1. First night scene: She refuses to come and sing in public, applauded her for that. Jalal after understanding her reason does what leaves her peacefully. He does warn her though that she only needs to be afraid of her, this was just a slight teasing or ego from his side. I forgive Jalal for this..
2. Next morning he acts as though his hand is injured so that Jodha can feed him. How cute was that scene, he wants all the attention from his latest acquisition. But, Jodha has a stone face and tries to feed him with as much ghrina as possible. Where was Jalal wrong in this??
3. He asks her to sing in public again, this was uncalled for as Jodha had already told him that she did not like this in their first night. But, Jalal just wanted to show off his priced possession's qualities. His intentions were not that of hurting or bringing her down, I am biased friends towards Jalal. Do you blame me though? What does Jodha do, retort back right then and there and sing the Rajput song. Which sensible queen would do that??
4. Jodha openly tells Ruqu that she does not desire Jalal and does not want him to even think about this. Wasn't this asking for trouble? Didn't she know this would reach Jalal soon?
5. Jalal ofcourse with bruised ego goes to Jodha and gets physical with her for the first time. To some extent she brought it on herself. But, he leaves the moment he realizes she does not desire him. He does tell her though that he married her only because of hatred. This was just a defence act because she provoked him enough.
6. Jodha's request to Jalal to be nice to her parents. Which man would agree to this after all her provocations?? The flirty way in which he makes her bath him, do you blame him??
7. Mirchi episode - Jalal falsely thought it was Jodha who did it on purpose. The war that has been going on between them it was natural for him to go in that direction. But, does Jodha help him in any way to clear the doubt?? No, instead she says I am not scared of you. This is again calling for trouble.
The list goes on and before you all loose interest I feel its Jodha who needs to grow as a character. This show might be about transformation in Jodha after marrying the wise Jalal.
