Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera leads a pack five Indian films selected for the Silent River Film Festival in the US next month.
Lootera, starring Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha, has been selected in the 'Narrative Features' section of the festival to be held at Irvine in California from October 17-20.
The 'Documentary Features' section has two Indian entries " Delhi-based film critic Utpal Borpujari's Mayong: Myth/Reality and Char: The No Man's Island by Sourav Sarangi.
Mayong: Myth/Reality deals with the magical heritage of Mayong, a mystical land of black magic situated in Assam's Morigaon district. This 53-minute documentary film has been done in ethnographic travelogue format.
Seventy-nine entries were selected from 24 countries for the festival which celebrates its third anniversary this year.
The other Indian entries are Lapet by Anshul Sinha in the 'Short Films' section and Afterglow by FTII's Kaushal Oza in the Short Films (Colleges and Universities) section.
