Jodha defeats Jalal in the sword fight,yet,Jalal had this unusual smile on his face .Jodha taunts saying,even a second of distraction can lead to a great loss in the battlefield.
Jalal simply smiles and says that nobody had defeated in sword fight till date,Jodha was probably the first.
He says that she surely was an excellent warrior,but a 'bevkoof' (moron;he didn't mean disrespect though) one.She could have simply killed him,instead,she is letting him go,despite his defeat.
Jodha states that if she wanted,she could puncture his heart right away with the sword;but killing doesn't glorify oneself.
Jalal retorts saying "mere paas toh dil hi nahi hai" (I don't have a heart,then how would your sword pass right through it?)
Jodha counter-strikes saying,if you're alive,that means you do have a 'heart'
Jalal continues by saying that his 'shamsheer'(sword) betrayed him this time.
Although,his sword wasn't to be blamed,it was Jodha's beauty. (Good lord!No girl could have resist blushing in this scene! <3)
Jodha couldn't help but smile,as her husband passed a compliment to her unexpectedly.
Scene changes,Ruqaiya is in her chamber,recalling what she had previously scene.Jalal-Jodha sword fight.
The long hidden jealousy paves way again and in a desperate attempt,she tries her hand with the sword.Unfortunately for her,she couldn't even pull the sword out of its cover.
Jalal enters the chamber just then and senses what was happening.It takes the sword from her and effortlessly removes the sword from its cover.
He then asks Ruqaiya if she wanted to learn sword fighting from him,she tries to beat around the bush.But Jalal gives a straight-forward statement saying,You saw Jodha and my encounter with the swords,didn't you?
Ruqaiya tries to keep her cool and laughs.She says that 'fights' (sword fight) signifies enemity, not 'love'.
She says that Jodha' s emotions overpower her intelligence-if she has any that is.
Jalal snorts saying,this is where even he was wrong. Jodha may seem like an emotional fool,but the fact is,she is indeed a very knowledgeable lady.
He says that not only was she excellent in chess,but she was no less in the art of swordsmanship.
Ruqaiya says that one doesnt praise someone,whom one actually wants to insult.
Jalal grins stating he wants to insult her,but each time,he gets to know of a new talent of hers.It seems as though there is a lot more to her than what appears to the eye.
Ruqaiya taunts him by saying it seems as though Jalal is developing a soft-corner for Jodha. Jalal stiffens and says that no,he wants to break her guroor (ego)
Cut to,Moti and Jodha arrive after sorting flowers for the pooja. Moti leaves as Jodha readies to decorate her Krishna idol.Just then,he realises that the idol's flute is missing.
She hears someone playing the flute.She soon realises that it was Little Rahim(salima's son).She plays around with him,but Rahim escapes and runs outdoors.As they progressed,Rahim all of a sudden falls into a pond. Jodha jumps right after him to save the young boy.
She saves him,brings him towards the garden(bageecha) and then hands him over to Salima. Maham observes all this.Salima shouts at Rahim(politely though) for playing around in the palace,Maham interrupts by saying,he wasn't to blame since he was just a child.The one who is to blame is the grown-up who behaves like a kid(implying Jodha)
She orders Jodha to come with her to meet Jalal, this matter needed his attention.
Jalal,Jodha and Maham are in Jalal's chamber.
Jalal describes how wrong Jodha was to be in that pond with Rahim,soaking wet!(in a very dignified tone).There were other men(geir mard) over there and she was walking around all wet.A queen has to behave in a certain way,know her "maryaada",her limits.
He also states that if she was having difficulty in understanding the Mughal policies,she could ask his badi ammi.He wasn't trying to insult her in anyway though,he spoke to her with utmost respect.
Jodha interrupts him by saying,what kind of system is this?He believed everything his badi ammi said,but didn't even give her one chance to defend herself.
Jalal seemed confused and he asks her if she was implying that Maham is lieing.Jodha says that, "a half heard truth is more disastrous than a lie"
Jalal gives her a chance to describe her part of the story.She then speaks of all that had happened. Jalal seemed apologetic.
Sensing damage,Maham tries to protect her image and says that she had made a mistake by not getting to the root of the incident.
Jalal seems sorry and tells Jodha that he was only trying to tell her about the 'tehzeeb',he had not intention of insulting her and was sorry for misunderstanding her deeds.
Jodha simply says that she didn't need any apologies and then leaves.
Its deewan-e-khaas time.Shareefuddin is presented in the court. Jalal praises him by saying that he has been an excellent subehdaar so far,so he is giving him a few more kingdoms(Medta and Nagore)
But,he wanted Shareef to return all the mehsool(tax) he had collected from Amer. Shareef hesitantly agrees and then leaves.
Meanwhile,Rahim is outside,wanting to meet the shahenshah. The soldiers stop him,but he somehow distracts them and enters the court.
Jalal is surprised seeing him there.The soldier explains that he did try to keep him out,but Rahim didn't listen.
Jalal says it was alright(aww.so cute!) Rahim floods with complaints,stating,Jalal had time for everyone,apart from him.Jalal giggles seeing Rahim's innocence. (such a cute scene! <3)
He then arrives the little boy in his arms and places him on his lap.With a broad smile on his face,Jalal says that,yes,it does as though he hasn't been able to give Rahim time,because Rahim had become so notorious these days (Awww :D sorry that im aww'ing again and again.But then,awww :P lol)
Jalal promises Rahim that that evening would be his.Rahim agrees and asks him not to forget their rendezvous.He also informs him that he would be with his 'choti ammi jaan' in the evening,so Jalal would require to come to her chamber to meet him.
"Choti ammi jaan?" Jalal questions.Before running off,Rahim says,yes,choti ammi jaan,who is also my "newly made friend".
Jalal's thoughts then come to conclusion that it has to be Jodha.
Shareef is annoyed at Jalal and he takes out his anger at Bakshi Bano,by slapping her.
He says that he was the emperor's brother-in-law for namesake.He was being treated like a mere slave.
Cut to,Jodha is walking in the harem,as she hears the informer stating Jalal's arrival.A gentle smile paves way as she moves towards her chamber.
Jalal enters the harem and as he walks,the other begums continued their usual routine of trying to get Jalal's attention,but as usual,he doesn't even look at them.
He simply walks into Jodha's chamber.As he enters,he sees Jodha(her back facing him)
She senses his presence and gently tries to peep through her dupatta.
Suddenly,she senses her dupatta being pulled.
Her heart skips a beat,she asks the shahenshah to let go of her dupatta,in a sing-song tone.
Jalal on the other hand,who was actually at an appropriate distance,simply smiles looking at her being restless.
Annoyed that her dupatta had not been let go of,she turns around,only to realise that it was Rahim pulling her dupatta.
Giggling,Jalal walks upto them and kneels down.With a notorious smile on his face,he warns Rahim that,if at all he wasn't a child,Rahim would be punished for pulling his wife's dupatta.
He then carries Rahim and leaves the chamber.
This time,Jodha couldn't help but blush at her husband's statement.
The other begums enter the chamber just when Jalal leaves and are disappointed that he left so soon.One among them clarifies saying that he had not come here to come to their chambers,instead to Jodha's chamber,to take Rahim.Since he loves children so much.
As they leave,Jodha smiles to herself.
*A smell a love story brewing :D ahem! <3*
precap : Hamida,Maham and Jalal are in his chamber. Hamida is describing how lucky Jodha had been to the Mughal dynasty.Ever since she had stepped into Agra,they have been flooded with good news'.Jalal is left smiling.In the backdrop,Maham is annoyed.

beram khan is his father jalal married his wife for her safety

rahim is the son of salima and bairam khan(Jalal's father figure)

After bairam's death,Jalal married salima,in order to protect them from bairam's enemies.

Yes,i know ur wondering,shudnt salima be a mother figure then? 😆

but no,salima was just 2-3years older than Jalal,whereas Bairam was around 20 years older than her.

Thanks for the lovely update.

I am liking this show better and better every day.

By the way could someone push MA off a cliff she is always evedropping on someone's conversation, it is getting anoying now.
