LTL Written Update

Episode ~65

26th March 2010

Dutta's den

The episode picks up from the point when Dutta gives, Supriya who watches him from his door.. a sided glare.. and comments dryly, you can't bear to see the sight of so much much blood right?.. Thus starts her performance ..the tears, the concern, the sighs..how did all this happen? she asks, and moves closer to him and sits on the arm of the two seat settee. Dutta almost to me, chuckles , like he wants to say as if you don't know. He feels his shoulder and blood streaked arm.. Supriya here literally says the same dialogues Naku had said, to him earlier, I told you not to go , why did you go? why didn't you think about me ?why don't you understand now my life is connected to yours! she pleads. This is true, because her life with her lover depends on how soon she can win Dutta's trust, hoodwink him, and then escape with her lover to spend the rest of her life with him. Dutta hears her cries, shifts his eyes from her ..and turns his face. To put more emphasis on her play acting , she reaches out for the cotton wool to clean his wound. But Dutta raises his palm and refuses, nursing intervention from her as well, like he did toNaku. Supriya looks disappointed with his refusal.. but she continues her lies, no today I won't listen to you , I cannot bear to see you bleeding.. Dutta cranks his neck at her words, he looks suspicious of her words. She sobs , why did you have to put your life at risk?. With a groan, he replies, without mincing his words, taking risks is part of my life...if you want to be a part of my life , then you will have to make risks a part of your life as well. Supriya remain's silent. Dutta takes another swig of alcohol, and continues, Supriya you are marrying Dutta Bhau , so get used to bloodshed, wounds, and gunshots... this is your would husband's life, if you are scared of seeing someone's blood on his hands, then how will you stand by him for a lifetime?.. he challenges her and slowly , painfully pushes himself to stand.

Supriya watches him as he walks towards his dresser mirror, and looks at her expression..same comparative mirror scene he did with Naku as well , where he asks her , ask this man ? not everyone was his enemy but many innocent too were shot by him, such was his job. With Naku there it was a brief job description of the bits he hated about his vocation.

With Supriya he studies the validity of her intentions, her words and actions, he tries to sus out her hidden agenda, for he is weary of her ways, moves, tears, her true intent. He has always had his suspicions about her.. now in this scene although good for Dutta for he gets the opportunity once again of not keeping her in the dark of what he does to earn a living..

Supriya stands beside him near the dresser and attempts to convince him, I will always stand by you , just give me one chance! she assures him with tears in her eyes. But Dutta in pain holds his face up and looks towards his wounded shoulder , she carries on convincing him, I will pray to god for your longevity ..in the previous episode she said she didn't care whether he kills! or gets killed! also she wishes he was dead , then she would be free of him! such a liar this woman is.. no class! At least Kala has style.. it's interesting to watch how after every time Supriya utters her feigned lines before Dutta.. she studies his face to see how much affect her words are taking on him.. how much longer she will have to spin her web around him..

Supriya admits, I know your job involves risks, I'll never stop you, I don't just want to wear your mangalsutra for namesake ..I just want every moment in time that I pray for your wellbeing... she pleads. Dutta stands before the mirror with his head held low and listens to her words. He turns to look down at her disdainfully, and says in a husky voice, it's easier said than done Supriya ..it's different to read about a hoodlum in the newspapers , but to know the hoodlum and to share your life with him is a entirely different matter. My life is very different, as a husband I will not be able to fulfil your expectations...Dutta points out to her. she appears mighty disappointed as her prattle is not working with him , she needs to do something unusual tonight to convince Dutta..

Supriya becomes desperate and begs him , I'll be part of your life, I want to share all your sorrow and pain! , and she attempts to clean his wound but he tarries her again with his palm raised.. as he glares down into her eyes... but he lets her and she dabs it with a face as if she will vomit.

Dutta looks at her with a scowl , and snatches the blood stained cotton swab from her hand, you won't be able to do it! your tongue speaks one thing and your face another, he says in disdain as he twirls his fingers in her face. He turns from the mirror and walks off, as she stands there near the mirror holding a piece of cotton wool. Dutta goes to his wardrobe, as he wipes off the blood from his arm..once done he chucks it away on the floor and opens his wardrobe to get a clean black pathiani shirt. Supriya has a F.B of Ravi pressing her to do something to impress him, touch his heart! win his trust!.. . She hates all this , looks like she is being beaten in her game.. she has to come on to a winner..she muses.

She spots a bowl of fruit with a knife sticking out!.this was her chance to touch his heart.. she wipes her tears , hardens herself and reaches out for the knife and slashes herself only just..above the wrist.. but she does raise the alarm.. I wish Dutta had seen through her act.. it was only scare mongering. There was nothing to it.. nothing only a trap.. for him , in which the mighty Dutta fell!

She shouts, as she sees him pulling on his shirt, you think I can't do this? you don't trust me !you don't trust my love! you have no idea how much I can bear!! she cries out.

By now Dutta has put on his shirt and he closes his wardrobe.. and she slashes her self...and goes ahhh..

Dutta rush's to her side, Supriya !why did you do this? and he tends to her.. bandages her wrist in a panic..looks like she's hit bulls eye!.. and with evil cunning eyes she asks him, now do you trust my love? now do you trust that I deserve to share your life don't you ?... now you do you trust me that I want to accept all your sorrows and pain that are part of your life! I told you, your wounds will hurt my heart ! she cries and feigns, before a vulnerable Dutta ... She begs , give me a chance to stand by you! .. accept me as a part of your life! she grovels and clings to his chest.. unwillingly, Dutta too embraces her she sobs bitterly at his chest.

Naku approaches the room with a glass of glucose .. and stops short when she sees her beloved Saab in an embrace with Supriya..

Naku terribly hurt.. reverses back from his room , leaves the two alone in this intimate moment. The pain in her hurt is so profound , that she drops the glass and the tray outside this very room..where she had first restrained Supriya to the floor and her container of poran poli had crashed on the floor!

Naku / Babi scene

Naku runs down his stairs , and has FB 's of him holding Supriya, against his chest. Naku runs across the house toward's her outhouse.

Babi tucks Sethji to bed, and a distraught Naku barges in, and cries bitterly. Babi moves toward's her .. Naku what's happened ?come wih me.. she gathers her very upset daughter and takes her to the side. Naku sobs, Aye sit by me! and they both sit on the floor on their knees facing each other. Naku what happened? tell me child Babi she urges. A bitterly sobbing Naku replies, taking a deep breath and hangs on to her mother's arm , Aye I thought I would be able to bear Saab marrying Supriya Tai !Saab will be happy and I will be happy for him! but that's not how it is Aye! she weeps. I am not able to reason with my heart! she sobs. I couldn't explain to my heart! no one told me that it would be hurt so bad! she cries out. Naku explains , Aye, I tried to bring Saab closer to Supriya Tai didn't I ?.. and Babi nods yes... but today when I saw them actually getting close! I couldn't bear it Aye!! weeps Naku. and her mother caresses her face and cries with her. Naku complains, Aye why is it so? I knew Saab would marry Supriya Tai !then why? why? she sobs, and Babi holds on to her daughter's arm..Naku cries, you remember when I was young we had floods, some water went in my throat, I felt suffocated, very breathless , it hurt so much! real bad! today it hurts like that .. I feel suffocated! She cries out.. at that time you saved me Aye! but who will do it now? and she sinks her head in her mother's lap gasping for air... Babi caresses her child and says, cry your heart out my child! cry as much as you wish! today don't stop these tears! let all the dreams held in your eyes, flow away with your tears, lighten your heart.. this is what I feared, the moon in the sky can never belong to us! our luck only holds darkness! such is our luck..tell me one thing Naku , does anyone ever place a brass bowl in silver plate? No ? right.. ohh Bapaa why did you allow my daughter to dream about a sliver plate? what wrong had she done? cries Babi , as she strokes her daughter 's head to bring to her calm.

Dutta 's Den

Supriya loosens her grip around Dutta's waist. He looks at the top of her head under his chin.. she moves apart and looks up at him slightly off balanced on her feet. He looks down worried at her, as she feigns giddiness. He rushes to his wardrobe and brings a flame orange shawl for her, which he gently drapes around her shoulders and she wobbles and falls in the curve of his arms.. he is forced to carry her in his arms down his stairs ,as he scowls and winces down at her.. he himself is injured , useless woman! causes him more pain by making him carry her all the way to her room... roarrr..

Dutta carries her along the corridor to her room, where Ravi stands guard. He looks and then opens the door for Dutta .. who puts her on the bed , moves her legs, and covers her with her quilt. Dutta turns to leave and she reaches out for his hand and he offers her his other hand as she props herself up. Dutta looks at her and says it's late, get some rest...looks down at her tearful face, turns and goes towards the door and pauses.. she watches from her bed like a cat.. waits for him to say something and he turns his head and says.. go to sleep.. and leaves, closing her door behind him. she pulls a repulsed face. Ravi stands on guard outside, and glares at Dutta as he walks past him.

As soon as Dutta turns the corner , Ravi goes into the room and closes the door behind him . She sees him and flings Dutta's flame orange shawl on the floor. Ravi sits beside Supriya on her bed, holds her slashed wrist and plants a kiss on it. Then looks at her face apprehensively .. with tears in her eyes, she nods a yes.. and his face breaks into a well done! smile and he pulls her to his shoulder ,where she rests her head, and he holds her hand , with a pleased look on his face..episode ends.. Precap ~ didn't I say that the one who understands these blood smeared hands, will be my wife..that's what happened today, someone saw the blood on my hands and shed their own blood.. accepted my pain..

Naku's reaction is disturbing yet hard to ignore.. words need to be said for her reaction.. Naku's tears, are not jealously motivated.. like he has chosen Supriya , another woman over me type.. but her tears are pearls that she sheds out of immense love for her Saab. Such love that makes her actively steer him towards this Supriya . To Naku it's only her Saab's happiness that matters.. which Naku feels at this point in time Supriya can give him. In Naku's love, she comes last and the other person.. her Saab comes first..

Still Naku is human, so her tears today are perhaps for, what was hers, but then if that is the case then she would not be Naku... for Naku is a giver not a taker.. today she cries, as she feels a sweet pain of that love which believes in giving up something that you treasure for another's happiness.

Naku's analogy of her love to a tempest .. a flood, where she feels she is drowning, being choked to death with the waters of visual reality! shows her whole world is swept away, by actually facing facts.. what just housed as theory in her heart has now become a practical experience she goes through.. procedure of great pain..
