I just went to the topic to see your reply, Nafs Haven't gotten to it yet, but lol they actually think Colors and the PH begged SRK to come. LMAO. No, it's the Bollywood stars and producers who want to make the television appearances. The tv channels aren't the ones begging them to make appearances.

Yes, they bend over backwards to accommodate, the people start acting like starstruck, inferior fools many times. But it's NOT the television shows that need the BW stars, the stars do it for their own film's promotion, and it's not something that PHs and writers seek out.

Yes it's a win win situation for both parties, the BW stars and the producers of their films and the PH and stars for the serials too.

I don't really think it's much of a win for the shows. These appearances are no big deal now, and I doubt each of them get any huge boost due the appearances. I don't know. Someone who's been following the ratings for various shows can shed some light on this.

Some appearances may give them a boost if they are promoted and it's some kind of big dance (like MEIJ), but overall I think it's the stars and the Bollywood producers who benefit.

The shows that would benefit more are probably the reality shows when the stars come in during their promotion times to guest judge, or whatever...

And then the writers and PHs...they probably are not always happy with having to work some of the appearances into the storyline.
