Manasi Parekh Gohil (Manasi Parekh) was born in Mumbai. She grew up pursuing the creative arts at a very young age. Singing in live shows ever since she was 11 she was "born to the stage". Manasi pursued a degree in English Literature at the St.Xavier's College Mumbai, a haven for creativity. This is where her love for acting began and she started participating in college productions as an actor-singer. Interacting with young artists from across the country she believes that Xavier's laid the foundation for her future as a performing artist.She loves acting and took acting as career as she believes it is the most creative field.

Her long cherished dream of pursuing her passion for acting came as an enchanting debut with the serial 'Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi but popularity beckoned the herald of a new dawn in her life with Star One's India Calling.Manasi played the lead character of Chandini, a small-town girl who works in a call-centre in Mumbai, with panache. The show "INDIA CALLING" was an instant hit.

She also featured in some other wonderful shows like FOUR,REMOTE CONTROL ,LAUGHTER K PHATKEY.
The character of Taranpreet in the show "FOUR" was a guy amongst the guys. Very loud and very Punjabi she was "no holds barred".

She essayed the character of Bubbly, a middle-class Maharashtrian girl with high aspirations was very relatable in the comedy show "REMOTE CONTROL"

Blessed with an array of talent ,Manasi performed as a stand up comedian in "Laughter Ke Phatke" which is a long-standing comedy show on Indian Television. She did 5 acts.

Essaying the lead role in Star Plus' prime time show Gulaal,it made her transcend her own barriers with such an intriguingly layered and fascinating character.It has been by far the the best etched role any actress could dream of.

Manasi even tried her hands successfully at anchoring with her short stint with the show Hindustan ke Hunarbaaz on Life OK.

From hair and care ,to Stayfree,from Tanishq to Tata motors, from Ganapathy Silks to Ashirwaad atta and from Big Bazaar To e-bay,Manasi has been there done it all.A very popular face of advertisements and TV commercials,Manasi still rules hearts with her exuberance and bubbling fountain of merriment.

Manasi has also done a film called Leelai in the South as well as has made her Hindi debut recently with Yeh Kaisi Life which premiered at the IFFI Festival in Goa.With her lucid expression of the soft yet enigmatic Karunai Malar in Leelai with actor Shiv Pandit, Manasi proved her mettle as a meticulous performer.

She has trained in classical music under the tutelage of Shrimati Madhubala Chawla and Shri Shrikant Waiekar. She also learnt Folk music from Shri Purushottam Upadhyay. Manasi has given vocals for films like Sanjay Leela Bansali's Devdas. In Reality television, "STAR YA ROCKSTAR" was the first show Manasi participated in as a contestant. She won the contest, which was a competition amongst popular actors who could sing.

Recently the multi-talented actress,singer made her marvelous debut with the independent single Sanwariya which featured on MTV's show called Roots, one of the first shows of India which promotes Independent music. Luckily enough, She had collaborated with a friend of hers ' Jhanvi Shrimankar, who is also a singer. It is a 'Thumri' which was originally sung by Govinda's Mother Nirmala Deviji.With the jazzing up of her western vocals blended seamlessly with the classical thumri,the song is like Mansi's soul.Pure ,beautiful and enchanting!!

In 2008-2009 Manasi took a short break from her Television work and got enrolled at the "Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute" in New York to study theatre and dramatics in the Stanislavsky mode.The institute boasts of a renowned faculty like Al Pacino and Ranbir Kapoor. Returning to India she debuted on stage with an English play "The Brief Candle" written by Mahesh Dattani.
Manasi won accolades and grabbed eyeballs with her stage play "Mharo Piyu Gayo Rangoon" - a musical adaptation of Shakespeare's "All's well that ends well" which opened at the Globe Theatre (London) in May 2012.

Besides being an actress and singer, Manasi is extremely passionate about food,yoga, photography, traveling, as well as writing. Manasi currently has her own blog in which she writes about various topics from her travel and poems to the insider views of the Indian Television Industry.
