Like u say, even i completely agree that rather than be judgemental about him, we should embrace it and get the inspiration that inspite of havinggone thru so much...he still emerged victorious. What was shown in the movie was tip of the iceberg..he went thru much more.
For a second, even if i imagine myself in such circumstances..its crazy..coz yes v r not talking abt fiction here but reality...

I can imagine that inspite of having seen his entire family wiped out...and no support system much..he still went on to become what he is and achieved what he is!!

u know..before this movie..my fave actor was aamir khan ..n no one came a close 2nd...and sportstar was none!!

but after watching I have realised that farhan is also no less in terms of talent and he is now at the top in my rankings alongwith aamir!! 😃
N yes Milkha is some1 whom i idolise now...

his autobigraphy comes in august -The Race of My Life --and I m sure going to get a copy of it . BMB is derived from this book.

I honestly dont care much abt what critics say or feel!! The movie touched my heart and movies rarely do that to me!! 😃

Both Raanjhanaa and MIlkha had great opening weekend despite no big hero and no big heroine! This is good for BW movies!

And yay for Sonam Kapoor! So happy for my girl!

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag Scores Well At The Overseas Box Office

Farhan Akhtar's latest film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag has been speeding its way through the overseas box office too. Evoking a good start, the film has incurred interest for being based on the life of athlete Milkha Singh. The film opened to a great start at the domestic box office, whereas even overseas it fared well in pockets! The movie collected approx $ 1.4 million i.e. Rs 8.40 crores at the Overseas Box Office.

In its U.K and Ireland circuit, the film made an opening weekend collections of 80.62 lacs. The film performed better in U.S.A and Canada by earning 3.88 crores in its first three days!

In U.A.E and G.C.C belt the film made a total income of 2.53 crores in its opening weekend.

Though the movie did not release in New Zealand, in Australia the film made 71.11 lacs opening weekend business. The film released in Fiji too, and earned 1.07 lacs.

Since biopics are a greater flavor of Indian life, they have a higher chance of faring well. And since the personality associated with this film is a man of international repute, there is a chance that Bhaag Milkha Bhaag's income will soar in the days to come in the global markets!

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag Monday Box Office Collection.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag has collected around 5.25 crore nett on Monday as per estimates. Film registered a drop of around 55% from Sunday, which is significant but still good as Sunday was huge. Drop from Friday is around 40%. BMB total collection after 4 days is 37.5 crore nett.

Film is performing mainly in multiplexes. Single screen business is on lower side on Monday. Generally multiplexes show bigger drop than Single Screens on Monday and same has happen to BMB. But still a 5+ crore figure is pretty decent number. Film should able to do a business of near around 49-50 crore nett in the first week if we go by the early trend. It is easily the biggest opener of Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor at box office. Also, because of good word of mouth film should do well again in the crucial second weekend.

Thursday (Paid Preview) - 1.05 crore nett.

Friday - 8.65 crore nett.

Saturday - 10.59 crore nett.

Sunday - 11.97 crore nett.
Monday - 5.25 crore nett (Estimates)

"Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" is another surprise of year 2013 as film continued its run on weekdays after fantastic weekend. Film is now heading for huge lifetime biz.

Film collected 5.65 cr nett on Monday taking complete 4 day total to 39 cr nett. Film will finish week one at 52 cr nett and that means good subsequent weeks can take it closer to 90 cr nett but then film has to fight big releases in coming weekend.

Film dropped by 40 in Mumbai and south but only 20-25% in north. It seems that north will hold the key for the film in days to come. Film also collected big numbers overseas and lifetime overseas will be close to 18 cr.

Bhaag Milka Bhaag held up very well on Monday with collections in the 5.50 crore nett region. North India is fantastic with drops of just 25-30% while other circuits have fallen 35-40%.

The film has collected around 37.50 crore nett in four days and should go around 50 crore nett for the first week. Belpw are some circuit figures from Monday with Friday figures in brackets.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag saw an expected drop as compared to its Sunday high on its 1st Monday at the Domestic Box Office. The film after earning over 33 crores in its openings weekend, earned 5.75 crores on its 1st Monday. With that, the film's total income rests at 39.10 crores at the Box Office.
