This is a suggestion for writers - I'm trying it out myself and I hope it works.
If you guys have Gmail accounts, you can set up Google alerts whereby you can insert a quote or phrase from your stories. Hopefully, if anything is posted on the net including that phrase, you'll be notified by email on your Gmail account, and any attempt at plagiarism would be caught out. The selected phrase should not be too long, and should be included in inverted commas so that the server will search for that exact phrase and not just the words. I really hope this helps.
