Set in desi backdrop, the teaser of Yash Raj Films next Shuddh Desi Romance, is fresh, peppy and quirky. It brings a chirpy love story and unique chemistry on board with Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead.

The movie will be a "fresh and very real love story about the hair-raising minefield between love, attraction and commitment. Finally, a romantic comedy that tells it like it is", read a statement from YRF.

First look of Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra's 'Shuddh Desi Romance'

The film narrates the story of Raghu (Sushant Singh Rajput) and Gayatri (Parineeti Chopra).

While, Parineeti will be seen in a bold avatar, Sushant seems to be living the 'boy-next-door' image. He looks casual, naughty and fun-loving.

The movie, directed by Maneesh Sharma is slated for September 13th release. It is written by Jaideep Sahni, and produced by Aditya Chopra. Its music is by Sachin-Jigar, with lyrics by Sahni.

It seems the prevelance of 'Ek Chidiya, Anek Chidiya' has a definite meaning here. The song depicts the relationship status of today's youth.
