Actors are known to blindly follow filmmaker's tips when it comes to acting. However, Randeep Hooda shocked people on the set when he defied Karan Johar's instructions blatantly while shooting a segment of Bombay Talkies. Randeep who is playing a senior journalist was asked to base his character on that of a well-known TV journalist. An insider reveals, "Randeep found the mannerisms too superficial and the journalist's approach during discussions abrupt. So, he refused and insisted on creating his own mannerisims for the character. Luckily for him, KJo relented." Randeep plays a grey-haired journalist and Rani Mukerji's husband.
