FRAGRANCE OF FRIENDSHIP
Kya dosti pyaar hey?? ya phir pyar dosti ka doosra naam?? ya phir ye dono alag alag baat hey?
When someone is asked these questions, they are bound to get confused. Because the boundaries of both are delicate and many times the lines drawn get blurred too, as both of these are very strong emotions in themselves!! Both the emotions need time..Trust..Unconditional commitment a deeper understanding...and equal space...to make it a success..
It's hard to say...which comes first..Friendship ya love...Well many times we have seen friendship first blossoms then...leading the way for love to bloom (just like in the case of Ali-Pooja). In many instances the all too overpowering love when comes to an end leaves behind a strong bond unfazed by the ravages of a broken heart called Friendship (As was in the case of raghav-sia). Sometimes in life friendship shines through the cloud of love (just like Mohan-Kastur ),while at times you can get glimpses of beautiful moments of love through the veil of friendship (like in the case of Onu-Taani).
We all know friendship is two kinds
1) Platonic and
2) Romantic (like Onu had with Taani)
It's when the platonic relations don the garb of romance does the whole confusion starts (As was the path that took Onu to taani)
You might be thinking why am i all of a sudden having this monologue about friendship and love and what it's got to do with the FC??
Well in this FC we will explore and try to understand the aspect of friendship. In the roles Harshad donned, try to view the influence it has on the on-screen jodis, which made these jodis endearing and all too memorable..
I would like to go on and state that This FC is dedicated to this beautiful relation friendship and its sweet sour influence on the various on-screen jodis of HC's roles. An amazing observation is that in all the roles HC has done till now, Friendship is a common thread which threads through the pearls of life creating a beautiful chain of memorable events...
For an actor, the set is a home away from home
As soon as the lights turn on him, he's alienated from everything he's known
It's not that he's forgotten his family and friends
It's just that he is going to have to stay away from them to make his ends
It's easy to land up lonely in such a place
It's easy to just be another handsome face
But it's difficult, trying to be happy in front of the camera when you're so alone
There is always a bit of sadness lurking underneath the glamour that is shown
But even then, you can end up making friends over here
You can drive away each other's loneliness and add to each other's cheer
And when you have somebody as warm and humble as Harshad
There's nothing to fear!
We had Ali, the cadet, always there to co-operate
Just like Harshad always gets along with the team on set
We had Prem and Anurag, the protectors of their brothers
Just like how Harshad always looks out for others
We had Mohan who was wayward and influenced by bad company
But Harshad is always there to spread positivity
We had Raghav who was all alone, but the ray of sunshine for his nephew Krish
And even off-screen, Harshad was a gem with the kid!
In Tere Liye, Taani was Anu's best friend
But his on-screen chemistry with all his heroines was eclipsed by the off-screen friendship he maintained
And his equation with his Laboni Maa was even greater off-screen
And even in Dharampatni, his mother was the one with whom Mohan shared all his dreams
His mischief, his impish smile-even the people who were his enemies in reel
Had to abandon that evil attitude in real
Have to admit, having this man's friendship is a steal.
