Why is Asad's slap to Zoya made such a big issue?

I'm really hurt and boiling in anger to know that some people have created such a huge issue because of the slap scene.
I'm also going to write a letter to BCCC now and I will make a complaint against ASFREGDRHD shows where women have slapped men.I'll say it violence against men by women and the show is highlighting this and send a letter.

Who gave the right of slapping to women only?Anyone who is guilty deserves punishment whether he/she belongs to men/female category.
A man's mom was fighting for life.In that situation any sane person would lose all the power to think and the person who he thinks is responsible for his mum's worst condition deserves the wrath of that son.
The time when Zoe approached Asad was really a wrong time.He was thinking about the events that led to the incident and was boiling in rage and fury.In that moment Zoe came to apologize to him.I would say Asad lost control over his sanity for a minute after seeing Zoe infront of his own eyes and slapped her.If she had appeared some other time infront of time when he was not thinking about Zoya hiding Maryam and all that,he must have definitely not slapped her.It was just a wrong timing for Zoya,I would say.

And later when he realized that he was wrong,he felt guilty and apologized to her.He even made coffee for her.I had never imagined in my wildest of dreams to see zille ilahi making coffee for Zoya but he did because he was genuinely sorry.Zoya also didn't forgive him easily. She talked about her mom and told him that noone deserves not to have a mother and he felt even worse for saying those things to her. It's in Zoe's nature to not hold things against someone for a long time and that is why she easily forgave Asad.Do u guys remember how easily Zoe forgive Asad in Akram's case?In that case Asad was really guilty and even then Zoe didn't hold grudge against him for a long time.
So it was quite expected from her to forgive him easily.

In reality as Vineeta said, Asad slapped the person who was directly or indirectly responsible for his mom's condition
We saw how much Asad repented the slap and said sorry to her.I could never imagine Asad making coffee for Zoya in the wildest of my dreams but he did it only because he was feeling really guilty. He really felt bad for hurting her and cursing so much.

How does the slap becomes an act of violence?Did he slap her just to enjoy his male ego?Did he slap her to show that she is a man?Did he deliberately slap her to fall into the tea urn?The cut on her hand was by accident. He didn't mean to get a cut on her hand intentionally. If he had done all those things intentionally then it should have been called violence. It's really unfair to call such an instant reaction to be named as violence.
It would have been good if Asad had not slapped Zoya but he didn't commit a crime by doing it.It just a result of the insecurity and fear he was going through when his mom was lying at the death bed.

All the shows which show rape scenes, violence against women, intense romance where the guy pushes the girl against the wall, etc should be questioned up and a letter should be send against them as well.
Its really incredible to believe that people have made a slap such a big issue and send over the matter to BCCC.
I'm really furious.
People watch shows for entertainment and not for some lessons. All those who are talking about youth must know what they are watching ,let me tell you that youth is intelligent enough to differentiate between good and bad. They don't need to learn it from a mere show that is being watched solely for entertainment.
All those who really have so much problem against this show may better stop watching the show. Why are they making an attempt in getting the show closed down?I hope there must be many other shows on tv which don't show such so called violence.
I would simply say that some people just can't bear up the success of good shows like Qubool Hai.The letter seems more like a way to get back to the PH.

I'm sorry if I hurt anyone. But Qubool Hai is a fiction and not a reality show.In reality shows we get to see people abusing each other, disrespecting women etc etc but no complaints are send against them.
As much as people have the right to post the letter send to BCCC,I also have full right to express my views against such an attempt here.
I personally don't hold any grudges against the people who send the letter.I simply wanted to express my disappointment against it.
I hope we can have a mature discussion over here.I would request you guys to kindly avoid any kind of bashing.
Take care!
Asma

I agree completely with you.
I don't know why people look for so much logic and reality in fictional shows.😆
We'll surely support Qubool Hai forever. 😃

while you are at it, I will send you a list.

1. IPK - a show that is shut, emphasized on that. Please ask them to remove all youtube links, everything. A love story should never be made this way.

2. DABH - I don't watch it anymore, but when I did, the MIL abused, and the son kept quiet. GO report.

3. Saathiya - Kokila Ben, ahem - tortured gopi when I stopped watching way long back. Go report.

4. YRKKH - an over possessive daadi/mother, who wants things to always go her own way. She is lucky to have a lovely DIL, who is so understanding. Message - all DILs should ALWAYS adjust. That's how women should always be raised. Go report.

5. Pyar ka dard - send a petition against the female lead. she slapped the male lead when he married her when she was being left at the altar.

6. Yes, finally QH - apart from the slap, they have shown women being buried alive, because they wanted to have a better life. So yeah, go report.

7. How can I forget Madhubala - hero not only physically abuses, but mentally abuses and insults the woman in public.

My point is that - all soaps show regressive content. The Indian audience thrives on that. Yes, everyone is entitled to their freedom of expression. So, I understand why people are upset about the slap. But this happens in all soaps. If we are trying to get messages out of them, this is certainly not the medium. At least, not the daily soaps.

But hey, if you can bring about change even in one waman's life due to this letter, then yes, I am all for it. For yes, I believe, that a woman should not only be respected, but should be able to live her life the way she wants.

The slap was n will remain wrong no matter what. I don't support violence in any form be it on men or women but there is a difference b/w both. A man in no circumstance should lift a hand on women.
I agree v watch the show 4 entertainment n not 4 some moral lessons but the fact is if something is being showed on tv it should b with certain limits as many people watch it n get wrong notions from it, eg young girls in this forum think it 2 b an act of showing love n passion. If God forbid 2moro those girls have 2 face the same then they might again think it 2 b an act of passion n love n will never have the courage 2 go against their male counterparts.
For me his redemption was useless; just by making coffee n with a 5 sec apology slap cannot b forgiven.

The letter sent by a fellow member was truly a great step n I support her.
