Hello Everyone. Long time! I heard about the future track...and well, I just wont go there. I decided to write a letter to someone at Zee...expressing my feelings about the whole thing--which I thought I would share with you all. Here it is:
My name is Archana Verma. I had sent you an email previously, but since I hadnt gotten a reply yet, thought I would try again. I realize you must be extremely busy, and your inbox is probably flooded :) But as they say..."If at first you dont succeed, try, try, try again"...so here we are. :)Zee is a great channel- I remember the first serial I ever started watching was Astitva. Pretty long time ago. There were plenty of other shows too- Saat Phere, Kasam Se, Teen Bahuraniyaan, and the list goes on. I was definitely a regular watcher of the soaps over the years and fully enjoyed them. However, I had never been too involved in them. Until now.Now I found myself all over India Forums (which I had just joined in April 2012), on Facebook as Admin of a large Fan Group, writing an article for Fuze Magazine contest, and watching SBB/SBS (which Id never even heard of before)---all for the first time ever---and that too because of an Indian Television show. All manner of things which I never thought possible. Just never imagined a show could make such an impact on me at such a level. Not to that extent anyway! All because of a Zee TV Show called Pavitra Rishta. And a new, young couple--Arjun and Purvi. ARVI. I dont know if it is the chemistry of the 2 young actors, Rithvik and Asha, their obvious comfort level with each other, or what they represent- a young couple of todays world, or what it is? An arrogant, spoiled NRI boy and a fiesty, yet simple middle class Indian girl. But they touched my heart. And the heart of many others as well.Ive attached a copy of the article I wrote..with some minor changes...to kind of show you just who Arjun and Purvi are and what they mean to us. When you created them, and particularly those 2 actors to play them, it really was a winner. They are just so real. With their fights, mistakes, misunderstandings, yet funny times and deep, deep love and passion for each other.See it is not about the story or track. It is Rithvik and Asha. They are Arjun and Purvi. See, even if ARVI would reunite and we had the best track ever for them it wouldnt matter. If Rithvik was replaced by another actor as Arjun, opposite Asha/Purvi, or Asha was replaced by another actress as Purvi- opposite Rithvik/Arjun, it simply wouldnt be the same. The 2 of them simply set the screen on fire. Now the future story track pairs them with other people. Not just as it pertains to the other characters in terms of the show- but to other actors. And no, it is not the same. Though both are doing a great job in their portrayal of their respective roles, and making every effort to do their job, you get the feeling that there is something missing.Rithvik/Shruti and Shakti/Asha simply do not have that type of explosive chemistry. So it is nowhere near the same. It is very simple really. That kind of chemistry we only see with Asha and Rithvik----much like Ankita and Sushant---and we want to see them back together. And all the emotions, intensity, chemistry, and hilarity they bring out in each other is such a treat to watch. Balaji and Zee truly hit a homerun with this pairing. It's not about blasting the track, story, or show...we want to just see these two be ARVI again. We want to laugh with them, cry with them, get angry with them and have the fun of watching them go through life together- and all its ups and downs.Thank you again for bringing them to us, and its my sincere hope that we get to see them back together to rock the show, Zee, and my TV screen again!!Sincerely,Archana
