WHY on the face of the Earth did Meena TELL Bhabo her suspicions about Sooraj and Sandhya still not having consummated their marriage? 😕
I know that that is what will get Bhabo going with sending SurYa on a honeymoon, which will lead them to being closer than they currently are, and so of course it was necessary. But think about it... why couldn't the CVs have had Bhabo HERSELF, the smart lady that she is, have the same suspicion about them not sleeping on the bed together because neither of them got hurt when the fan fell?
We all know that Bhabo is already preoccupied with their intimate relations (or lack thereof) since she's been meaning to speak with Sandhya about her having a baby for quite a while now, so how come she couldn't have thought of that herself? I know that she was more concerned with Sandhya and Sooraj being safe, but she has figured out the non-intimate thing before (how could anyone who has scene the papad scene ever forget that?!) and she could have suspected the same thing when she saw them sleeping on the floor by herself rather than having to have Meena suggest it to her.
BTW, what was with Sandhya and Sooraj's strange reaction to seeing each other when they rolled over on the floor? 😕 They hug so freely now - what was with that weird "we-must-not-touch-at-any-cost" reaction? Did they forget that the other one was next to them? If its that they are not used to sleeping on the side that they were (they were on opposite sides on the floor than they usually are on the bed, with Sandhya on Sooraj's right on the floor instead of on his left side as they are in their bed), then why didn't they sleep on their preferred side in the first place, or just exchange places? And why did they have to sleep in the hall anyway? You could fit the entire Rathi family (and then some!) on the floor of the GG room itself! They could have slept there, and suggested the same when Chaturi suggested setting up mattresses for them in the hall! And why the weird reaction to each other in their room the next morning? I get that Sandhya's pallu fell off her shoulder, but it was pinned firmly in place and no one would have been able to see anything, so why exactly did Sooraj react the way he did when she offered to help with his hand injury? If they wanted to go with that they should have had Sandhya's pallu pin fall out/not have it pinned in the first place, and just have her grab the pallu and toss it over her shoulder quickly before he actually saw anything. That would have made more sense - with the actual possibility of an awkward "revealing" moment at that point rather than the fake no-revelation-is-actually possible one that we actually got. Again, I know all this stuff was done so as to get Bhabo on "Mission SurYa DBC" as soon as possible, but it seriously looks like the CVs threw a bucket of common sense and another one of logic out the window in their rush to get this storyline going!
OK, to the actual point of my post - why did it have to be Meena to get Bhabo suspicious?
The reasons I think this was just plan nonsensical are:
- Meena knows that Bhabo wants Sandhya to have a baby as soon as possible.
- Meena was recently worried about the possibility of Sandhya getting pregnant and having a boy and she herself having a baby girl. She really wanted to have the first male grandchild of the Rathi family so that she would become the Queen Bee (in her mind!) rather than Sandhya. (Even if she ended up having a girl this time, as long as Sandhya wasn't also pregnant yet then Meena would have still had a chance to have another baby before Sandhya does. Lord, with the whole Vaidrani plot happening as well, I hope Meena's baby actually survives until birth!)
- If Meena thinks Sooraj and Sandhya are not being intimate, shouldn't she have been happy and kept quiet rather than running to Bhabo with her suspicions? That way Bhabo wouldn't be on "Mission SurYa DBC" with quite as much enthusiasm as she is now/will very shortly be? She might just have spoken to Sandhya again but she probably wouldn't be trying to send them away for a honeymoon (Bhabo is after all, often complaining that nothing gets done in their house, so why would she send Sandhya away from the house unless it became absolutely necessary in her mind?)
So yes, I don't have a problem with Bhabo's mission - I just think the way the CVs got this into motion in todays episode (episode 361, 1 January 2013) was odd. Usually things in DABH make more sense than this, that's all this post is actually about.
I guess Meena REALLY wants that silver-containing baby hat of Sooraj's! Too bad she couldn't see the bigger picture, but otherwise, no one is complaining! 😊
I guess the way it happened in the show, Meena becomes the one who deserves credit when the DBC actually happens! 🤣
