Couldn't help but comment on this one!

Saw posts here as well as on FB that the last episode of IPKKND was viewed by over 5 billion people!

As per the last census, India's population was 1.21 billion. So IPKKND had a viewerbase of 4 billion non-Indians??!!!

Come on!

I love the show (note the present tense), I dream of Arnav-Khushi when I'm awake and when I sleep, I write fanfiction, I have hundreds of pics save on my HD, ...but this was a bit too much to digest!

thank God someone made a post about this...same thing I wrote in an post...the whole world has a population around 7 billion...so its not possible...I think it would be 5 million or 50 million...but yes we really did beat VD

The world's population is 7 billion; 1.4 billion people own a television. A third of the world's population have access to internet.

The figures from UK alone were around 250,000 to 300,000 viewers. I am not quite sure how to convert TRP ratings to viewer population, but still don't think you can get 5 billion from that. Population of India is 1.2 billion.

The math of 5 billion viewers for Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? is wrong.

it dint say 7billion people watched it.. It said the last episode had 5 billion views.. And Yes people al around the world watch it.. Whether Indians o not They still Watch.. I know a few people who are not Indians and still Watch ipk and are fighting to get ipk.. They are here in this very forum.:)

I think the number signifies the number of views till now and not one time watch...

Even then, 5 billion looks like a "too good to be true" figure... The most watched video of the nearly kiss scene last diwali hasnt reached that figure yet...
