After making a huge impact on its opening day at the domestic box office, Dabangg 2 did some great numbers even on its 2nd Day. The opening day exacts were 21.10 Crores. Come Day 2 and the movie made another 17.5 Crores approx, as per early estimates. The 2 day total of Salman's Dabangg 2 now stands at38.6 Crores.

The movie, starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, opened across 2,500 screens Friday against 1,800 for the previous one (Dabangg).
Making about 7.30 Crores at the overseas box office, the movie has created some huge hype outside India as well. It seems Dabangg 2 is in for a roll. The slight drop in collections were coz of drop in single screen collections.
Needless to say, it was expected as the Day 1 numbers were huge. There was no major change in multiplex collections as compared to its opening day. Sunday is expected to show a good spike. All said and doneDabangg 2 is sure to have a great 1st weekend at the domestic box office.
The movie will surely reach the 100 crores club but how fast is yet to be seen. Ek Tha Tiger reached the 100 crore club in 6 days, Bodyguard in 8 days and Dabangg part 1 in 10 days. When do you think Dabangg 2 will achieve this mark? Comment and Poll right here.

Sunday, 23rd December 02:50 PM IST DABANGG 2 Struggles Over Weekend "Dabangg 2" started off well on Friday with record collections but 2nd day ended with below par collections. Film failed to grow was one thing but a drop of 20% made it worse. This is a huge drop considering performance of recent no holiday releases like "Talaash" and "Khiladi 786". Though excessive cold weather in north and India - England cricket match can be termed as possible reasons but still such a drop was never expected for Salman Khan starrer. Film collected 17.90 cr nett on Saturday taking film's 2 day total to 38.50 cr nett. Total is still very good but cracks are visible and one can hope for a huge Sunday to clear these doubts. Film failed to score from evening shows onwards and 2nd day total was lower than day one across the territories. This means only a Sunday with 26-28 cr nett can take it beyond 65 cr nett. Anything lower than this will be just good but not great. As per early trends on Sunday, film has shown sign of slight improvement in NCR, CI, CP and Rajasthan. But still huge jump is missing and that can happen in evening if it happens at all. Film is struggling due to non performance in multiplexes. If film was affected by yesterday' cricket match then film will be hurt further by India Pakistan cricket match series starting on 25th December. This can hit film by 15%. Dabangg 2 has collected Rs 19 crore on it's second day at the box office. The two day cumulative total is Rs 40 crores net.
After excellent collections on Day 1, business at single screens witnessed a slight drop. Multiplexes across the country remained steady, although the expected jump in business for the evening/night shows didn't happen.
The film is off to a good start on Sunday and should put up bigger numbers. The word-of-mouth is mixed and Dabangg 2 certainly isn't carrying excellent reports like the first film did in 2010.
